Anyone notice that the Tower ads get the most clicks?

Full banners aren't so bad as long as there are no other ads right beside them.

The button ads are worthless. I think I only got one click once with those even if they are at a heavy traffic site.

Agree? Disagree?

I got a fair number of clicks with a little PW button ad at http://www.comicspace.com/ It wasn't a really catchy image either. I often use those ad spots (they are pretty cheap) whenever I have a bit in my PW account.

It depends on ad placement a lot too. We are kinda used to overlooking a banner ads at the top of pages or a bunch of ads in a group. It helps to compare price too. If the tower ads end up costing you more per click than a smaller ad, it isn't worth it.

Leaderboard and Skyscraper ads are all I'll shell out some real money for. The others are far less effective. But I guess that's the point. ;)

My button ads work just fine... but they're simple and eye catching (and I usually advertise on more popular websites).
Updates Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday's (depends).

My little button ads have so far proven the most successful by FAR. Skyscrapers are a distant second.

Interesting replies so far. So, different people have different success with different size ads. Who'd thunk? I guess it comes down to how did you design your ad. For the button people, did you use a logo, image or text? And for tower/banner ads, you successful ones, was it logo, image or text?

I couldn't get comicspace to work. I signed up for an account about half a year ago and they never e-mailed me my info. I tried about fifty times.....weird.
