What are the best music videos of all time?
I haven't watched TV for about a year now, so I don't know the most recent ones... But here are some that aren't TOO old:
Satisfaction by Benny Benassi (the one with the girls in bikinis working with power tools).
Come to Daddy by Aphex Twin (freaky violent little kids and a demon coming out of a TV)
Weapon of Choice by Fatboy Slim (Christopher Walken does Fred Astair)
Sonne by Rammstein (Snow white and the seven Rammsteins)
Take your Mama by Scissor Sister (Denim dancin')
I Believe in a Thing Called Love by The Darkness (rock gods in space)
...Right now I can't remember any old classic ones, but that's a good list from the last few years anyway ^_^

You ever seen The Rolling Stone's performance of Sympathy for The Devil at the Rock and Roll Circus? Even though it's just a performance it makes a great video.
For one, the greatest music video to me is that of Pink Floyd's The Wall. The entire movie qualifies as a music video, and it's a fucking good one.
As for real music videos, Jeremy by Pearl Jam (The one with the schoolkid that kills himself in class) and Bittersweet Symphony by The Verve (Richard Ashcroft walking down some sidewalk in London, bumping into people) are in the top. Honorable mentions go out to that Dire Straits video, Money for Nothing (Heh. Who could forget this video?) The Dave Matthews Band in Crash into Me (It still makes me wonder what the hell Dave Matthews was on), the Red Hot Chill Peppers in Californication (Video game themed music video about California, awesome), and Bone Thugs N Harmony in The Crossroads (A beautiful and powerful rap video about life and death).

I'd definitely agree with Bittersweet Symphony!
...never seen the Stones Rock and Roll cirucs... I have seen them do Sympathy live though, it was pretty cool.
Yeah Floyd. And Money for Nothing was good.
Hey, I remembered some more:
Stinkfist by Tool! (Sand people doing gross stuff)
Land Of Confusion by Genesis (Ronald Regun rubber puppet drowning in his own sweat)
-I think that was beaten out of the video awards by Gabriel's Sledghammer, which although it is a great song, it's a pretty lame stop motion video.
The Barry Williams Show by Peter Gabriel (Gerry Springer in hell, directed by Sean Penn)

Yes! God yes! Tool! Rock on man!
Stinkfist is one awesome music video, as are virtually all Tool music videos. Adam Jones is a visionary genius! A genius I say! Some of my other favorite Tool music videos are "Parabola" and "Schism". I don't know what the hell's going on, but I like it! (Man, I hope they get what they got cookin' for "10,000 Days" out soon...)
As for other classic music videos, lemme see...
Foo Fighters - Learn to Fly
Red Hot Chili Peppers - Californication
Basement Jaxx - Where's Your Head At
A-Ha - Take on Me (I'm not particularly fond of the song, but the music video is killah!)
Daft Punk - Burnin'
Frankie Goes to Hollywood - Relax
Herbie Hancock - Rockit
Madvillain - All Caps
Musical Youth - Pass the Dutchie
Prince - 1999
Radiohead - Just
Talking Heads - Once in a Lifetime
Twisted Sister - We're Not Gonna Take It
Van Halen - Hot For Teacher
Beck - Cellphone's Dead
A Perfect Circle - 3 Libras
To name a few... ;)

TerminalOh man, that was fantastic ^_^
The power of YouTube.
That's what Rock stars SHOULD look like! As a perfectly straight man, I feel comfortable in saying that Jager there is sexier than Britney Spears and Jesica Simpson will ever be.
Hmm OK GO are ok... good in a quirky way.
Sabotage by the Beasti Boys is a genuine classic! -the uncensored version where the guy gets thrown of the bridge. Such a cool mockup of one of those shitty gritty 70's cop movies.
Around the World by Daft Punk. I love those dancing people in costumes.
Simply Irresistable by Robert Palmer. It was the culmination of all his sexy identicle chicks dancing in the background videos. He must have done atleast three with them, that one was the best of the lot.
Virtual Insanity by Jamiroquai. That dancing is so cool.
Lover tits by Peaches. Crappy looking clip of her and another gal sitting on bikes, but oh so, SO sexy!!!
I want to Break Free by Queen. Transvestite joy!
Love is a stranger by the Eurythmics. Almost every clip they did was brilliant, but that one is so cool and sophisticated. Annie Lenox tranfroms beatifully into different guises.

Pure Rock and Roll power!
You know what might have been an even better performance from Rock and Roll Circus though? The Who- A Quick One While He's Away. This is my personal favorite video rock performance of all time, and Mick Jagger's least favorite. Rock and Roll Circus was supposed to be aired as a TV special and serve as a launching point for a Rolling Stones/The Who tour. But The Who had just been touring and were at the top of their game. The Rolling Stones had been doing drugs in England for months... guess who played better? The Who blew The Stones off the stage so bad that not only was the special never aired, but the entire tour was canceled. Here it is. The Stones are still great though... and tap into that animal energy that The Who never really got into. Warning: It's long.

Hmm, the video for "Take a Picture" by Filter does not match the song itself. I kinda like the video for "Standing Outside a Broken Payphone with Money in Your Hand" by the Primitive Radio Gods, it had a very dreamy feel to it. Other two good videos are "Champagne Supernova" and "The Masterplan" by Oasis. Supernova is the psychedelic one, and Masterplan was the animated one, both beautiful. The whole "I'm drawing myself singing" thing in "Drive" by Incubus was also good.
Again, let me mention the videos for the Sympathy remix. The "Sympathy for The Devil (Remix)" video by the Neptunes was very awesome.

I like this one because it makes you feel like a kid reading through his favorite superhero comic book! Picture it now: Sunday morning, nothing better to do, so you head down to your local comic book store and pick up a copy of the latest Spiderman epic. Don't you just get that vibe? Well I do... It's a good song too...

I just found Beck's latest music video too and maaaaaaaan is it a piece of work. I've always loved those music videos that make you question what the hell is going on, and this one definitely falls into that category. Michel Gondry does good work, this definitely beats out Beck's other low-budget music videos.

Jeebus, do I even need to explain why Tool's "Parabola" is awesome?! I don't know... I think it speaks for itself. Tool is the master band of symbolism. No contest. I mean, watch this video and tell me what's going on. Go on, watch it! Adam Jones is an amazing artist with both the guitar and the pencil. He brings his magical and sometimes disturbing images to life, from paper to your TV screen. Before he joined up with Tool, he worked as a makeup artist for movies like "Jurassic Park" and "Nightmare on Elm Street". And even today, he still embodies that talent. Best of all, Tool doesn't care if their music videos hit number one on the "Much Music Countdown". They just care that their fans are seeing their work. Now THAT'S the spirit!

I really like the Gorillaz music videos. I only like a few of the songs, but the videos are just so fun to watch! But I'm an animation junky.
If you're looking for some really fun music videos, I think you should rent the DVD compilation of Michel Gondry's music videos. If I wasn't on dialup right now I'd provide some links. But he did the previously mentioned "Around the World" video for Daft Punk. He also directed a pretty amazing music video for Kylie Minogue (I can't remember the name of the song). Also he did that White Stripes video for "The Hardest Button to Button" and I think also that Lego music video with that one song I hate.
Some other videos I enjoy:
Kenna - Hellbent
Korn - Freak on a Leash (was that the bullet one?)
Polysics - I My Me Mine
Polysics - Electric Surfing Go Go
Mr. Oizo - Flat Beat (not so much cool as it is just funny)
AFI - Girl's Not Grey
Avalanches - Frontier Psychiatry
