My graphic designer teacher allows us to listen to music while we work in class (it gets annoying when someone listens to something crappy like rap or that bubble-gum Disney crap since we aren't allowed to use headphones.
I usually listen to rock and alternative.
-Led Zepplin
-The Foo Fighters
-SOME Fall Out Boy (Mainly the cover of 'bad' they did)
-Mezzanine
-Flogging Molly
-And many more! All this for just 19.95!
Just kidding.
I also listen to podcasts like 'webcomics weekly'.
Really, there is no perfect music to listen to. Whatever works and fits your style is good.

I'm one of the few people who don't listen to music when drawing comics. Inspiration just flows naturally for me.

I love drawing while listening to The Flaming Lips. The songs all melt into each other and it's very relaxing.
