That's not a commercial, it's a commercial music video made by Daft Punk apparently. It's one of those ones where they bodge and blur the sound levels... Pretty damn lame for such a great group. -_-
But the vid is very cool, yeah. :)
Reminds me of the Aussie outback. You can drive for months out there in land exactly like that. But it could be anywhere in the U.S., Mongolia, Russia, China, anywhere in Africa or a million places. Probably the U.S. though.
If you want a good vid of driving in the desert from the 70s, try and get "Vanishing Point". It's from 1971, I downloaded it off Bit Torrent ages ago... Great movie ^^
