it's kinda funny that tyra banks was the first female african american on the cover of sports illustarted swimsuit edition (i think), yet if you adjust her nose a lil, it wouldn't be much different.

another reason why race doesn't really matter in the future as the majority will become multiraced. and we slowly erase the race line one inch at a time.

I hate to admit it, but I actually saw that "Tyra" episode where she re-created her Swimsuit cover. I was at the hospital getting a sleep study done and the nurse wouldn't turn off the TV while she was hooking all the wires up to my head. So I suffered through it.

What was HILARIOUS was that she did that episode for "black history month" and since she was the first black woman on the sports illustrated swimsuit cover, she did the entire episode as a tribute to herself. It was the most self-righteous, pretentious piece of drek I've ever seen.

And when they revealed the cover as the show closer, I was laughing so hard at the obvious PS job and camera tricks to make her look like her previous self that the nurse (actually I think she was a technition or something) had to pause connection my skull for a minute.

Ugh. The drek lodged in my brain cells that I'll never be able to remove. sigh.

That's idiotic with the Lebanon photos. One thing is DOESN'T look is worse. If that's why they fired him it's unethical and they're morons. The damage looks exactly the same.
What's bad about the pic is that he's heightened the contrast a little (no crime), and he's used a clone tool on the smoke clouds for some reason which just makes them look fake and dumb. The damage level in the pic hasn't changed, he's just made a real scene of devastation look fake.

This seems more of a tips and tricks thing than Art because it's about the purely technical aspects of image creation and not about the artistic implications or use. But that's just me.
It's a fine line. ;)

The end result looks like my aunt... that's what scares me.

Hmm. I noticed, similar with the Jessica Alba thing, that on the cover of the scrubs box sets, it's like they've cut and pasted the characters heads onto their own bodies. And some times limbs. It's stupid, just take a regular photo. And they airbrush out Turk's Mole (at least on the series 4 box set they do).
