im new and im having trouble with my avatar when i try to make one it says "The file extension: bmp is not supported." whats that mean?

It means you need to use a filetype that isnt .bmp like .Jpeg or .PNG
So when you are saving your avatar DONT SAVE AS A .BMP
I am amazed how many people on the internet don't even know the basics of operating a computer.
