i tried doing something like this once on another forum, we were going to do it using the VS system though and make a whole deck of them full of the forum members, looking at the site this is totally different though.

From what I'm reading so far, it sounds kickass. I actually wouldn't mind doing this by mail just so I could play with the materials. They could be mini art pieces.

In order to do it on the cheap for everyone, I suggest you buy a pack of 100 standard sized index cards.
The front side is perfect for drawing, and the rear is perfect for writing information and stuff.
So, if anyone wants to trade with me, let me know how many cards you'd like to trade, and then I'll draw them out and send them to you by mail.
Or we could just do it via INTERNETS. You guys decided, I'm easy.

I was thinking, someone makes a template on Photoshop or something leaving gaps for the text and picture, and we use that.

Well, I'm going to make a template then, that way you guys can easily take any sketches you do, and drop them on it.
I would like to see some mail trades going too, maybe not single cards since that can get expensive, but perhaps a whole set?

Well, I decided to just do my own templates, you guys can use your own. anyway, this is the first card in a set of seven so far I'll be doing, it's the crew from my comic Cosmic Dash.
I won't be trading single cards though, they'll all be traded together, and yes they'll all be in color pencil.

No, it's all based on trade, you don't charge for these.
It'll probably be a lot to mail them to eachother though, which I why I would send them in bulk.

I think we need to establish exactly how it will work. And also would we need a place to show off the cards we've traded? err have? Because what if someone does a trade, but then wants to trade what they got for something else? I dunno...maybe i think too much...

Hey im on Artwanted.com and they just started a spin off site (free) just for ACEOs... (art cards that you want to sell). its http://www.artcardswanted.com .
I also found http://www.atcards.com for anyone who wants to just TRADE ATCs through the mail. They work like ebay as far as having a trader rating system so you'll know who goes through with thier trades and who doesnt.
