are any of your characters based off of you?

just wondering if there's any author-reflection in your characterizations. Blatantly, I mean.
I, for instance, am almost exactly like my main female character, Eve (only difference is I don't have a giant snake friend, nor as many romantic prospects as she).
how about you? Is it your narrator, or are "you" a side character? I'm just curious~!

Seth is more like me than any of the characters in Anything Goes.

All of my chars are based off of a characteristic of mine that has been magnified like, 500%. Then I add things that make them unique. So.. yeah. All my chars can be traced back to me. :P

None of my characters in Grog are like me. Usually in projects that never see their way online I'll draw myself in as a very minor or background character, just as a little cameo. ^_^ But not in this one. I just wouldn't fit.

One girl I know through a friend apparently made a nasty comment behind my back, though, that it was funny how the character based on myself (I can only assume she meant Nik)'s boobs kept getting bigger, suggesting it was some kind of wish fulfilment, I suppose (this girl was inordinately proud of her chest).

I've no idea where she got that impression. Nik's figure changes as my art style does- I'm still new to this. I'm fairly happy with my OWN figure, and the following are the similarities between Nik and I:

1. We both have brown hair.

Yep, that's it. ^_^

Some people are just mean, I guess!

Someone once told me that Jim from HVH reminded them of me.

Also, Lapiz, from Deus, is a stronger, more physically fit version of myself. =P

My characters are almost all based off of certain aspects of myself. None are fully copies of me, but all share some of my personality to a certain extent.

Yes, but not intentionally. My primary villain started out as a totally different character, and somehow through the evolution of his role in the comic, he became the Dark Neil. Crimson is so obviously me that it's not worth denying anymore.

If I go into detail, I'll end up spoiling much of the character developement I have planned for him. In fact... My next chapter is pretty much all about him.

Hopefully my readers won't interpret his plight as being an indication of me having psychological problems. I'd like to think that I'm a lot more mentally stable than any of my fictional characters.

There is a character based on me in my comic . This one is basically just an Author Character, and I haven't used him in a long, long time because I feel I'm out of that style of writing. While that was still going on "I" showed up in the original Starving Artists, where I filled almost the same role (my character was nearly omnipotent, especially in the early parts). During all this I also showed up in my brother's comic "The Revolutionaries" (Later renamed Hozho Comics ). I more or less played the straight man in this series, which was basically how my relationship with my brother went. Later in the Second Starving Artists I was more just a regular character. Then in Halfway to Dead I was back to being the straight man, though something about living a year in Jersey has apparently driven me insane, and in real life I'm the one who tries to be goofy and thinks he's really funny.

I feel that Noccio and Headless are both me. I use Headless as my sense side and Noccio as my "Things I wish I could say" side. It helps to put my weird brand of humor in every once in awhile.

I'm always borrowing people from real life =p Three projects I'm involved with have characters based off of me -

- Ru from 20 Galaxies
In the original 20G I wrote through elementary school and middle school, she was just me. Me and my friends all had characters and we all had the pendants to match. She isn't really like my past or present self anymore aside from her interest in meteorology.

- Mitzi from Three-Pi Aces
3PA was started from a live-action video me and my cousin made when we were experimenting with special effects, so there ended up being characters based on both of us. Mitzi is me in high school with a bunch of magnified aspects.

-Cerulean from Xtremers Inc
This is my friend's story, and he insisted that I make a character for myself. Cerulean came out of that, and she is my current net alias.

Yeah, anyone who's read Bad Guy High knows SuperDan is supposed to be me. The whole thing was just come up between me and my real life friend Evan in high school just for fun, and I ended up turning it into what it is now.

I did try to kill my character off though, to divert attention away...but he seems to keep popping up..

All my characters repersent me in some ways.
But my main characters repersent me the most.

I mean, readers need a lot of insights on the main characters' thoughts and feelings.
And you know yourself the most (if your mind (or brain activities or whatever) is stable).
So, you can make your characters' thoughts and feelings seem more realistic because you are able to describe and explain them. (And that comes from practicing, of course.)

Creepily enough... the character in Mixed Bag Comics that is "named" after me is nothing like myself as a person...

If ANYONE's personality is based off of my own it would have to be Frink, the blue reality programmer.
99% of people would've finished this sente

Each of my characters represent a slice of my personality, some in more obvious ways than others. The one I act most like in a day to day manner is probably Aisha, the main character, although obviously she's a bit exaggerated.

.. I actually even look a bit like her, but my hair is longer. (And obviously, I am lacking fuzzy ears and a tail.) lol!

In my comic the character Montori is designed of me. Personality wise he's a bit of an idealized version of me though.

Few of my characters contain some aspecrt of my personality. Both my characters, Unbi and Mervin in I Come From Mars have some exaggerated aspects of my personality.

Unbi describes me as someone who sometimes acts and talks a bit wierd as well as insensitive to my surroundings.

Mervin, on the other hand, describes me as a coward who gets scared easily whenever I feel threatened.

In a way I guess everybody I write has a little of me, and yet at the same time none of them are specifically based on me. I would say that of the main 5 characters, Juliet is the furthest from me, she's a very dark, ambiguous character. On the other hand though, she's very sarcastic, which is something that's been said about me, but I think Juliet says a lot of things I would just think and not say aloud. I'm most often compared to Rekki or Rocket.

MY main character IS me. Unapoligetically. Until someone else in the comic tries to sue me, then I'll change my story.

Originally, I created my comic to vent about my insane roommates. Two of the characters are most definitely based on someone. Yuki never strays far from her real life counterpart.

For example, this is my friend Gael, my Kaida template.

I don't think there is a really decidedly "me" character. Seiko sorta was initially, but she has taken on a life of her own. I think Alex might be more like me than Seiko is. Mike developed into my subconscious self (though all his character development won't happen for a few more chapters, so I won't tell you how or why.) Actually, at this point, there's a good bit of me in all my characters.

I think my characters all have a little aspect of me in them, but Mr Stabby definitely has the most. He's basically a hyped-up version of the evil little voice in my head being unspeakably rude about everything and anything. The difference being, I don't say those things out loud.

Billy has somewhat of my personality but the story isn't based on my life.

I mean, Billy is devoted, loyal, and friendly. He would risk his life for others and loves rock n roll and heavy metal!

Enjoy... Las Vegas-y

Pinky has a nose similar to mine because I like the shape- also it makes it very easy to model and gives her more of an 'exotic' appearance...

All my characters have bits of my personality in them because that makes them easier to write for. And they all have ears and hands based on me because those will sometimes require careful modelling too. lol!

Like pretty much everyone else, most of my characters have a part me in them.

Not in a sexual way,but personality-wise.

Amy has all my neurotic feelings. The panic-y part. Kate has the libido and exuberance of a seventeen year old boy, which I am. Not going to go into that. Jace has my awkwardness around new people, Katrina has my habit of sneaking up on people, Will says all the mean things I usually keep in my head and Ella is my sarcastic and incredilous side personified.

Hmmmmmm, I'd say my character called The Manager is the most based off me, when I was putting the first few strips together and thinking up plot elements and characters who would appear later (I NEVER write anything down or make an effort to remember it, it makes the story so much more chaotic and unpredictable), I started thinking about what it would be like if I tried to take over the world (I have a short attention span), a bit of tweaking of what I'd like to look like in that scenario, and voila, one genocidal maniac hot off the grill.
Hey buddy, you should be a Russian Cosmonaut, and here's why.
