Can you have apostrophes in your comic name? I really hate having a grammatically incorrect name.

Don't show the apostrophe in the URL? I don't know, you're the programmer

When you create an account, the name you choose is your URL (www.drunkduck/whatever) except in the case of spaces, which become underscores_.
An apostrophe (as far as I know) does not work for a website, so we would need to have a field for "How do you want your comic name to show" vs the URL that generates.
That's what you are asking for, right?

So I could have a comic at www.drunkduck.com/Test/ and call it "The Gods of Arr-Kelaan"?

How about this? Let the name have non-alphanumeric symbols, but ignore them in the URL. So the comic "Bob's Dog!" would have the URL www.drunkduck.com/Bobs_Dog

I think you end up with a similar problem then, though. For instance, someone creates a comic named "What?" and it shows up as /what in the URL. Someone else makes a comic named "What!" ... it's a different comic name, but still shows up as /what in the URL.

Well, the system can be made to check for that. It just wouldn't allow another comic with the same url-safe name, instead of not allowing a comic with the same exact name.
Having the capacity to have a totally different comic name from the url would get really confusing, though. It'd be handy for when you want to change the name of your comic, but ultimately it's probably too confusing. Having a name and making an url-safe url for it, though, wouldn't be bad.
