i just joined the site and am looking for a way to get my series out there to the public. (i'm currently in the bowels of DD hell, even though i feel i dont deserve to be lumped wit hthe same people who make bad sonic sprite comics) i thought the best way to do so would be one of three ways:

A: have my main character Zeke appear as a cameo in someone's story
B: do a guest comic strip for someone, getting my art & style out there
C: if i'm really ambitious, participate in a crossover

the problem is it seems like NO ONE IS LOOKING IN THE MARKET FOR THEM RIGHT NOW! can anyone point me in the right direction?

(ps: YES. i'm aware of Crossoverkill. i'm waiting for my oppurtunity there, but i dont think it'll come soon. i'd PQ them, but that might seem a little troll-y or stupid, like i'm one of the other thousands of people wanting a cameo of there bad naruto & bleach rip-of characters.)

Send me a guest comic strip or fanart any day. You'd get free advertsing right then and there. My comic (MAG-ISA) is in the top 50 in drunkduck.

Cheers.

The best method for you to do this is to find a comic on drunkduck that shares the perspective of your own comic in some way. I recently completed a crossover with "The Unthinkable Hybrid" and, at the risk of sounding immodest, I believe it can be seen as an example of how to properly do a crossover.

It was a very good experience for me since there was so much common ground and mutual admiration between both parties. Both "Air Raid Robertson" and "The Unthinkable Hybrid" have a somewhat lighthearted narrative and a bit of a retro vibe going on. So, it wasn't like oil and water for our characters to interact.

Plus, since there was a great deal of trust between Mr. Wyler and myself, the story was completed without any headaches or scuffles.

For the longest time I used to think that DrunkDuck would have a major crossover with select comics involved, sorta like a group participation project. Is this true?

Shoot, I'd love to do something like that, or join in one sometime. I thin it'd be epic win. Not to derail the thread or anything with this question, but if it ever does go down, that'd be another cool thing to consider signing up for.

For characters that could appear in superhero comics, there's always Heroes Alliance . It's modelled after the superhero crossovers in print comics. Any character that would fit into the sort of universe we've established could appear (not just actual superheroes or villains).

i've heard of Heroes Unite actually, but i wasn't sure if they'd take just anyone who asked. are they still looking for members/contributors/cameos/whatever?

Heroes Unite is now finished, it was replaced by Heroes Alliance and Abt_Nihil is in charge of that project.

If you want cameos and cross-overs then look no further than MY comic;
'The Dragon fists of Smorty Smythe'.

Not only do I enjoy drawing OTHER artists characters making appearances in my comic as vignettes between stories but I recently had my heroes at a costume party where almost EVERYONE was invited.;)

Consider me sold. 8D ...maybe not now though. Give me another issue to establish something.

For me, I might need to connect with more furry webcomic artists to do something with 'Keeping Up with Thursday'. ZTMD is it's own shpiel.

i'm actually in the process of reading your first online issue as i write this message, and it's actually pretty interesting so far. i'm greatly considering your crossover proposal, but--since i haven't actually READ it all, but i will eventually--is there anything in it that would make a crossover thing between 2 radically different series not work? anything that'd make things kinda "weird?"from what i've seen, it seems to be a sort of throwback to old kung-fu flicks with a little spaghetti western in there. as is, it wouldn't be that much of a stretch for it to fit into my mythos. but is there anything later down the road?

You can always consider this, too.

http://www.dragoneers.com/forum/index.php

This is the forum to a website that basically keeps log and track of every webcomic crossover, references to each other, meetings or hook-ups. Great place to mention your stuff and make some contacts.

I recently e-mailed someone from Ardra for a character application for an appearance on Speed Dating, for example. Dunno if I'll make it, but it's worth a shot.
