now...ill be the first one to admit im a little biased on this topic. I realize i might very well be the last surviving Creed fan on the face of the planet. When i learned that the members of creed all got back together except for Scott Stapp, to form a new band called Alter Bridge, words did not express my joy.

When i listened to One Day Remains (their freshman Cd), i was simply blown away by Mark Tremonti's guitar work, but i still felt Creed was still over all a stronger band. Many people didn't listen to One Day Remains cd, simply because of its relation to Creed, which is sad but true. I don't blame some people for it though, because it was very creed-esque.

But people, most recently Alter Bridges sophomore CD came out, and...wow...just wow. This CD has made me finally say FUCK CREED, FUCK SCOTT STAPP!! This CD is amazing. Forget all that crap that you find in the mainstream usually, the emo music, screamo and hard-core, Alter Bridge's Blackbird is just plain solid rock, no weird crap. The band pulled together and made a phenomenal cd in doing so.

Unlike their first CD, the vocalist got the opportunity to write the songs and really gets to show off the extent of his amazing voice. Not only that but he also gets to rock out on guitar. His guitar play + mark tremonti's = GOD-LIKE! They also got the original bassist from Creed (who was only involved in Creed's My Own Prison, before leaving because he couldn't take much more of Scott's ego overhaul) which just adds just an extra punch to already incredible band.

Okay, so as i've already stated, i might just be a "little" biased on this...just a little. But i've gone online, and checked out some of the reviews, im not the only one who was blown away by this CD

There's been a lot of disappointments in the music this year, but if you are a rock fan, Alter Bridge will not disappoint you. I highly recommend just listening to some clips of it.

I havent been a Creed fan since I was a wittle kid. I got kinda back into it with Weathered, but not really. I enjoyed it, but it has to be probably my least fave cd of all my cds. I got One Day remains and instantly knew they were a better band, but even still, I liked it but didn't really like it super much.

Speaking of Alter Bridge, I am totally obsessed with Metalingus.

It's the best song I've heard in a while.

I downloaded the new Alter Bridge album on iTunes awhile ago, and I didn't even know it was Creed minus Stapp, until my husband told me. ...It freakin' rocks. My favorite songs are 'One by One', 'Brand New Start,' and 'Watch Over You.'
