Akashik officially having 20 pages here on Drunk Duck (that's just 5 shy of the big 25) we've decided to hold our first contest. Maybe it will become annual. Maybe it won't.

The prizes will be:

First place - an original artwork of the Akashik character of your choice by the main artist, Death.
Second place - a t-shirt from our CafePress store - again, your choice
Third Place - an Akashik bracelet, hand-made by Pestilence.

The contest will be simple. When the time comes, we will put online one of our former pages without dialogue. You, the contester, will fill in your own dialogue. Lettering skills are not necessariliy a plus, but a good sense of humor is! The one that makes us laugh the most is the one that will win. The top twenty entries will be displayed on our main website http://battle-of-angels.tripod.com/

I think winning a t-shirt or bracelet is cooler than artwork...

Then shoot for 2nd or 3rd.

Well, okay - if you want to be 2nd place say so... that way we can let someone else be first and get greater recognition and one of a kind artwork by Katrina Joyner, also known as the author of Black Wolf Silver Fox, artist to Dandelion Studios' Exiles, and creator of Avenia as well as all around bad guy and cookie thief? Who are we to decide that your work is better than someone else's when a t-shirt is at stake?!?! We wouldn't dream of committing such an offense to cotton everywhere! Be strong in your convictions! Be wise! A bracelet might suffer if you don't!

Or request a T-shirt or bracelet instead of art work?

Ah sorry if I distressed anyone with that comment, don't get me wrong the artwork is very beautiful.
It's just if a comic i liked had a contest winning an actual t-shirt of that comic would be very cool indeed.

Yo, it was only a joke. Was my joking tone that serious-sounding? Is the thought of cotton perishing an ignoble death that earth-shattering? :-)

The truth is I wanted the t-shirt to be grand prize, but the rest of the Apocalypse Writers vetoed me down.

Warped, thank you for sticking up for us. Truly, though, her opinion is a valid one. It's only natural some folks would like a t-shirt instead. When the winners pan out, we'll work it out. Neh? =^-^=
