Once upon a time there was space. It had angle like critters, Grays and other UFO abduct-ie type critters. There was and Empire ruled by an Adonai (he has very pretty hair). The empire was in a state of decay- as all empires in stories are. Then there was a Taus.
She had a vision- a vision of conquest and a far greater empire (why is it greater? because it's HER empire and she says so). So she set out, with her soon to be ex-boyfriend-man-toy-he-was-there-thing's ship to take over the nearest space station and do her hair and nails. And drink wine. Wine is very important to her. Keep this in mind should she ever set her eyes on you (though she will most likely kill you anyway and take the wine, you wallet, your identity and sell you family in to slavery IF she's feeling nice).
But really- this is a story about a woman haunted by her future and hunted by her past. She's done some things she's looking to set to right (by her standards) and some things have been done to her that can never be set to right (but she's moved on....kinda. Wine is good for that).

So go read our comic damnit! Please. It has been updating once a week on Sundays but after Christmas it will be updating twice a week...or something. It is still in it's baby/toddler phase of growth and it needs some love and attention. Go check it out and enjoy!

The story hints at a lot of depth.

I like the use of incidental background text, but i wish it were just a bit larger.

I actually prefered the earlier, uncolored pages because they work so well with so few lines.

Hey, thanks!

Ironically, BoA isn't supposed to HAVE a lot of text to it - but the characters won't shut up. There will be moments (I hope) that things quiet down, but things are only quiet when Taus is in control. LOL

I would love to imitate the style of the 'Beloved' at times, but that's not my normal style. 'Beloved' is a special, differently drawn comic because it comes from Taus's mind and memories. It's also done to the lyrics of a song by the same name by VNV Nation (with permission). However, if anyone has any suggestions on how to bring in Beloved's essence better I'm all fingers, toes and eyes.

Thanks for the input on the background text. I'm still experimenting with that. I'll see what I can do on improving it.... and pass the note along to our new lettering type person.

I think you have a pretty solid concept here. Its not a genre that's overcrowded like super heroes and the art is distinctive enough to stand on its own. The panel breakdowns are great for the most part however, p2, v1 lost me towards the end. The dialogue is well written.

Good stuff you go here.
You are part of the rebel alliance and a traitor!
