I don't know if this topic was made yet.. but let's start it!

Throughout your comic making I'm sure you heard or learned some advice, quotes and words of wisdom about how to be a better comic artist/writer. Also you can say how it influenced your work.

So let's hear them!

Examples:

If you want to become a comic artist, first draw 10,000 drawings.
I go by this a lot. My work seems to be more quantity over quality. It never takes me longer than two days to make a page. That's because I believe through the sheer number of drawings and experience I can get better.

Rule of show business: Always keep them wanting more. I take this as: Never give away spoilers of your stories if the readers ask for them, have plenty of suspense, and always leave cliffhangers at the end of each issue. This will keep them interested longer.
