I've tried posting a link absolutley everywhere I can think of and even with an update today, my pageviews are declining.

From what people have said so far and the fact that people have added me to their favorites list I don't think it's that everyone already knows about my comic and it sucks so they are just boycotting me, I've gotta be doing something wrong.

What? pageviews tend to go up and down, don't worry too much about it.

If you really want random tips on promoting:

1. just make a good webcomic and word of mouth will do the rest

2. engage in guerilla marketing and plug your comic using multiple usernames (unethical) or just be really friendly

3. make some fanart for some bigger comics and if they like you, they'll plug you

4. be active on forums and contribute to art contests

5. submit your site wherever you can and be a myspace/friendster/etc whore

6. pay for advertising

add a link to your forum posts, that should do some magic right there

I figgured it was just the readership across the board over the weekend, because my position didn't really move in the search page.

Yeah, adding a link and what not to your signature is probably a great idea.

Also, I wouldn't reccomend whoring yourself on myspace. There are some real creepy creeps in that place.

Thanks for the ideas, I've been trying to whore myself as best as I can, but unfortunatley I'm still fairly new to the whole internet pimping thing.

I've already got links up on myspace and a buzz comic account, and I have a comiker friend who might give me linkspot in his livejournal because he's got a fairly large amount of readers, but he's out of town for a while.

I did edit my signature to include my link, but I'll have to think of something snazzy to catch people's attention in it too.

Other than that, I don't really want to pay for adspace untill my comic is a little larger to sustain new readers, so I guess this it's down to a waiting game and self pimping.

As for the having a good comic part, I'm still unsure if people actually think my comic is good or if they are just being nice.

Turn that URL in your signature into an actual link you can click by adding the URL tags in the brackets. I'd show you in tags, but the code tags don't work.

Better yet, make a picture for that link that will attract people.
