Not sure if this is allowed, but based on what Spang said on the Gigcast DD Report, we can mention stuff about places to advertise and mention good deals.

If this isn't the case, I don't mind having my thread be deleted.

As of now, project wonderful ads on my site are rather cheap. I offer two types, tower ads and button ads. There are seven buttons and currently you can nab one for only three cents.

As for the tower ad , that can be nabbed for a penny currently.

You can see what my current hits look like on each bid page, but to summarize, I've been averaging about a thousand a day, and that looks to be growing since when I first started it was only at about 600.

So hopefully this thread is in the right place and allowed. If other folks want to let us know about advertising on their site, I think they should be allowed to.

I think the intent of this forum is to tell people where advertising works (or doesn't work). Although ads may work on hpkomics.com, it's probably better to let someone else attest to that. Or maybe give out statistics for former purchasers.

That's my understanding of the forum at least. I could be wrong.;)

I really don't want to delete it. I was wondering if you could give us more info for a buyer's perspective, like what kind of ads seem to do better, what the views vs unique hits ratio averages out to, etc, etc.

If you feel uncomfortable sharing that stuff or whatever, that's cool too.

Maybe someone that has advertised on the site can talk about it?

That's a good idea Spang; what kind of stuff would do best?
On HPK's sites I'd say comedy scifi, light hearted comedy in general... Not adult stuff... Story comics maybe, but gag comics would do best.
I'm not sure, but that sort of thing. ^_^

Not at all. Check to see if the adds are even in a viewable location. Very bottom of the page won't do much even on a 10,000 hits per day site.

I've bid on a few high hit sites, some gave me great traffic, others /no/ traffic at all. Price does not reflect hits.

For those of you after some free space, most of my header-button bidders have run out of money so their bids are removed, so there are about 5 open slots currently.
