I've had my DS in my pocket for about an hour and a half now, and all I was doing was listening to the music in Sound Mode. =D

I'd get it if I had a DS, but I don't. The touchscreen really turns me off, so I never bought one.

I might get one eventually, but I'm good with my PSP right now.

(I was going to fill this space with a great long preach-post that would try to sell you over to my side by pointing out how the touch screen is actually a fantastic, responsive control method with plenty of games that use it the way it was meant to be used, and that - apart from maybe one or two games - the touch screen control is completely optional anyway...but I won't, because I know that I'm bound to piss somebody off that way and it's probably not going to work)

Meh, I don't care if it's responsive or whatever. It's just not as fun for me. Also, I don't like fucking with the stylus. Also also, it's not optional in Phantom Hourglass or whatever that LoZ game was called.

I love the Advance Wars series and I know this one doesn't disappoint.

I'd get it but my DS is in bad shape, last game I ever got for it was Pokemon Diamond.

So I'm just playing my PsP a lot and buying more games for that.

I'll have to side with Shplane just a bit, the whole touch screen gimmick does get a little old after a while. It only works real well with certain games like the Phantom Hourglass game. But for games like Pokemon or Mario Kart, it's just not as good. Games like those don't even really need to use the stylus/touch screen.

Aye. I'd forgotten Phantom Hourglass. I just hate Zelda games in general, and that's not just me being the stereotypical Zelda-basher that I am. I've played every single one, and I only like one of them. o-O;

I honestly bought the DS first and foremost because I'm a shite-broke 16-year-old and I could actually sort of afford it, but also because there were games out for it that really caught my eye. Advance Wars Dual Strike, for example.

I'm getting a PSP soon, solely on the basis that they're apparently a bunch of fun to hack and I have itchy fingers lately. Anything you could recommend for it? ...the PSP that is, not the itchy fingers...though I hear there are topical creams and things... >,>

First off, even if it IS harder to hack, get the Slim. The whole thing with plugging it into your TV is awesome, and I can't tell you how much I wish I had it just because my original PSP gets fingerprints all over it.

Killzone: Liberations is apparently good

I'm glad the focus has shifted much more towards strategy than spamming Neotanks until your CO Power fills up. Those S Ranks aren't given to you on a silver platter any more. And they've gotten rid of all the old COs too, most of whom were annoyingly quirky. :/

Phantom Hourglass is pretty meh, as far as I'm concerned.
There are plenty that I'm fairly certain would pique your interest for more than a few moments. It has, for example, this century's two actually-pretty-good Sonic games (though I'm aware that the PSP has that compilation thing, but you've got emulators for that, right?) and Phoenix Wright, which is pretty frigging interest-piquing.
WFC is secks, too.

Global multiplayer, without having to buy any sort of extra gizmo. It just runs off your internet or any nearby wireless access point.
I thought Phoenix Wright was really well written, and the second one in particular was pretty funny...I just don't think it needed to continue past two games. :/

Meh, I wouldn't really play any online games on a handheld anyway. I've got my PS3 for that. I generally play RPG's and slower paced games like that on handhelds, and they're not very conducive to online play.

Well I KNOW the PSP has some form of online, considering the fact that some game had online multiplayer (I think it was Syphon Filter or something) had online play.

But like I said, I'm not concerned with online on my handheld. Console? Yeah, it's a HUGE thing on that. But I just don't play multiplayer games on my PSP, nor would I on my DS if I had one.

I've just met the Primary Antagonist. He may well be a zombie.
At least he's not Darth Vader again like Sturm was. :/
