every time I try to add a video, the title and description come up but it never bring up the actual video. I copy and paste the url from the top of the page, but there's just no video. is there something else I need to do?

A few ideas:

1. It may have had something to do with the image bug we experienced briefly, which affects any edits or changes people try to make. It might be worth trying again now.

2. Only the first video in your list will have the preview, the others will only show the title/description.

3. When users upload a video to youtube, they can mark whether they want the video to be embeddable or not. If they've marked the video as not embedabble, then you won't be able to embed it in a page. You'll only be able to get the title and descriptive info, and you'll have to click a link which takes you to the youtube page to view it. (I'm guessing this one is the most likely for your case.)

Is there any way to tell if it's embedded or not, without having to actually try it?

I'm not sure, but I think there might be something on the youtube page which will say "this user does not allow embedding"?
