Square is releaseing a whole load of games on us in the next year and a half. Now being an RPG fan this is a good thing for me. But how am I going to find the time to play all of them. It was a clever idea to release different games on different platforms though because now I have to buy one just so I can play, Crisis Core: FFVII, Final Fantasy Dissidia, and KH: Birth by Sleep, and on top of those I have KH:358/2 Days for the DS. Theres also 2 phone games but noone cares about those. Not to mention that they have FFXIII (Three versions of it, XIII, Verus, and the cell game Agito) in the works (Sadly no ammount of FF will convince me to buy a PS3.) I mean seriously they are just throwing games at us next year (Not that it's a bad thing), I feel like me and my handhelds are going to become good friends.
What do you guys think about Square strategy for releaseing games. Will it make te games worse because of rush or will it enhance the storys in was never seen before.

FFXIII is the main reason I bought my PS3. And seriously, if you love the FF series, get a PS3. Trust me, there ARE other games to play on it, no matter how much people say there aren't. Like RPG's? White Knight Story, Folklore, Disgaea 3. Shooters? Resistance, Warhawk, Killzone 2. Non-FPS action? Uncharted, Ratchet and Clank, Heavenly Sword, God of War 3. Then, of course, there are games that I'm not quite sure how to classify, like InFamous (I'm thinking it looks like a sandbox RPG, but it's too early to tell... ), and MGS4 (Stealth? Shooter? I'm not sure). And, of course, you can still get the excellent cross-platform games like CoD4, Assassin's Creed, and the Orange Box.*
Also, I don't think you actually said what system Crisis Core, Birth By Sleep, and Dissidia are on. They're for the PSP. It now has a reason to be wuvved. :)
*Sorry about the PS3 ad guys. It's just that the more people who buy it, the more people I have to play with online. Also, I don't want people to miss out on the system, what with it being awesome and all.
EDIT: And about the strategy? I think it depends on the developement teams for the games, and not how many come out at once. Not to mention the fact that Square releases a LOT of games, all the time. They're not just Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts.

Yes I know that this game is retarded. It's also fun for some retarded reason.
This one is less retarded, but it's mostly just fun for the trolling

Still no Bushido Blade 3? :(
Kendo or Kengo (I forgot which) is just not the same as the two play station classics, created by Square.
Also did sony figure out that a Final Fantasy 7 remake would save the playstation 3 yet?

When the hell will Final Fantasy Tactics A2 be released to the US? T_T
The Ivalice-based games make me want to play FF12, and I usually loath anything FF7 up (9 was an exception, it was excellent and felt like an old FF game).
But still, where is my FFTA2? T_T

Created by and published by are two different things. Unfortunately, if you want a return to the Bushido Blade style of play, you'll have to hope Lightweight brings Kengo back to its roots. That's pretty unlikely, though, since they seem to think Kengo's where it's at despite the poor sales.
I wouldn't mind seeing a new Einhander or Tobal (although Dreamfactory seems to have dropped off the map after Ehrgeiz), though.

There's also "Infinite Undiscovery" which is an odd choice for a title. That's actually being developed by tri-ace though (the creators of star ocean). Still, Enix is the publisher, and it adds to the small number of ridiculously asian RPGs that are on the 360. This is good, because it could really use some variety.

From what I've heard, I think they should remake Chrono Trigger next.
But I'm not really an expert at it.
