Grant Morrison, when he did JLA, tried to make the JLA more like the Olympic pantheon---adding Huntress as a modern Artermis, Steel a modern Hapheasteus, etc.

If you were going to create a webcomics pantheon, who would you include? Who are the possibles to "stand in" for the Olympic Pantheon?

Here's a partial list I came up with, but feel free to add your own. Any webcomic, from any clime, manga or nonmanga, furry or nonfurry, present-day or sf or fantasy.

Zeus--Energize at http://www.drunkduck.com/Energize/index.php

Hera--

Athena---either my character Mindmistress at http://mindmistress.comicgenesis.com or Girl Genuis at http://www.girlgeniusonline.com/ or Kimiko of DRESDEN CODAK at http://dresdencodak.com/

Ares ---

Haphesteus (Vulcan)-- Hellfire at http://www.drunkduck.com/Hellfire/

Demeter--

Poseidon--

Artermis--

Apollo--Dr. McNinja at http://www.drmcninja.com/ (Since Apollo was the god of medicine) or Lightbringer at http://lightbringer.comicgenesis.com/ (since Apollo was also the god of light).

Dionysus--

Hermes (Mercury)--

Aphrodite (Venus) -- Pimpette of http://pimpette.ca/ or Steve of http://lifeanddeath.smackjeeves.com/comics/

Have fun! (That is, if you LIKE mythic parallels!) ---Al

Think there are no new superhero ideas?

Well, to me Charna from Nadya has the temperament of Hera.
Freefall Drift - A sci fi space opera of a starship's mission of stopping the Endless Kings.

An even better Dionysus MIGHT be, now that I think of it, Jon of GOATS, since GOATS is a bar.---Al
