OUUH! Thanks alot >.
when they say that do they mean that if you have 1 one Adult comic the rest can't be featured?
or comic he means by pages say if it's Teen and a really good comic and art but very offensive it's not likely to be featured. sorry i just want to clear this up so nothing can like bite me in the butt later on =/
Someone
Take note, even if your comic is mostly teen or whatnot, but you have one or two comics in your archive that are really offensive or adult, it's not likely to be featured. We do try to go through a comic's entire archive before featuring it.

It means it's up to our admins discretion. Generally, so long as it's not excessive to the point of tasteless there isn't much of a problem. I got a feature despite several comics using the middle finger and one depicting a sex appliance attempting to pass itself off as a rocket ( At least I think that one was up when Oz reviewed it for the feature.). Implied stuff is usually ok, but if you were to show explicit sex scenes, torture, etc. then it's a no go.

Um yeah...
If the whole comic is adult rated it can't be featured. If it's an M comic with stuff in it that means it really should be an A comic, then it should be an A comic.
But lba is right.
I'd love to feature genuine adult comics though, there are a lot of amazing quality adult rated comics that really deserve it, but unfortunately we just can't.

Oooh...
No torture at all? (Yeah I know, such a disappointment XD)
What if it were light as, say, Reiko waterboarding Santa ?

You could always find somewhere on the forum to start a thread for it.
And to answer Tcb's last question clearly: It just means whether or not for a single comic account whether or not individual pages in that account have adult content. You can have one of your comics featured even if another comic tied to your creator account is violent fetish porn.

I wouldn't say 'no torture' because something like torture can be depicted just as 'tastefully' as sex or violence can. It's relatively easy to avoid an A rating by making decisions on what to show or what not to show.
If I'm going through an M comic to see if it's worth featuring and there are 1 or 2 pages that normally would qualify for an A comic, I might not ask them to change their rating- but I wouldn't feature it. It's not fair to readers who are not expecting that sort of thing. The admins do each seem to have slightly different opinions on where the M/A line is though.
However I also think restricting yourself based on the hope of being featured is pretty silly. Make the comic you want to make. :) There are plenty of ways to get attention for a comic (and ones you're more in control of) than hoping one day to be featured on DD.

i wouldn't worry about not getting featured because of an A rating . it has been my experience that simply having an A rating will often times get you more veiwers than having your comic featured ...

I should have explained a bit more I suppose. I just meant that stuff that was gratuitous or explicitly violent like holocaust victim tentacle rape probably wouldn't be featured.

There are no rating restrictions on rankings. Many adult comics rank quite high. However, people can choose to filter them out, and viewers under a certain age can't view them (which is how it should be, of course ;) ).
