REALLY little. =D This time I didn't just settle for painting a miniature, I decided to modify one. See, I've been working with green stuff for a bit now. It's the epoxy sculpting compound that's used to make the prototypes for casting pewter miniatures. It also bonds really well to pewter itself, so it's easy to mod figurines with!

So I went out and found a Reaper wolf and started making Amaterasu. When you think about it, all you need to do is add some curly frills and her weapon. I also filled the cheeks out a bit...the figure didn't have much of a jaw line. I even added a little Issun!

I had a hell of a time trying to decide which weapon to give her. Solar Flare, the final weapon, is really pretty, but I went with Divine Retribution because it's much more iconic.

Currently, it doesn't have any primer on it and it's unpainted. I just added the reflector today. Here's some photos so you can clearly see the modifications I made!

And I just finished! It's hard to make out, but there's even a tiny little Issun by her back paw.

Here's a much better photo. My digital camera is really iffy about getting things this small and this close in focus. Sometimes it will, sometimes it won't. I use some tricks to get it to work- holding down the button part way first so the camera doesn't jiggle as much- buuuut it's a cheap thing. Can't change the film speed on it, either.

very nice. haven't played the game myself but i have been playing minitures games for a long time now. started with Warhammer Quest way back in '94 and been playing Warhammer 40k off and on (mostly off) since. been playing Warhammer 40,000 Dawn of War: Dark Crusade on the pc (yes that is the full title... a little long i know) and thinking about getting back into playing again, maybe starting up a necron army. for those that don't know, necrons are basically space undead. one part terminator, one part souless machine created by dark gods eons ago, all parts neato-keen.

anywhoo, that is a very good looking rendition of the wolf from the game. and nice job with the green stuff. i have never been very good at using that junk 'cept to fill gaps in the models.
I believe I was quite clear when I said, 'lreguhkjbfgvbuhlwjbtg'.

Thanks! =D I'm pretty good at working on a small scale. I did so for a long time with Sculpey out of necesity, since the stuff is pretty expensive. When I was twelve or so, I created Pern on our floor. Yeah...all of it. People, dragons, plants, trees, animals, flowers, ponds, furniture, tiiiny little pencils, food. Everything. Of course, it wasn't very good, but it sure improved my skill!
