I've finally managed to start putting up some comics of mine. As I've been drawing and writing stories since I can't remember when it really was about time.

Master the Tiger

A more or less non-violent series of loosely connected sketches set in modern-day Bremen (Northern Germany). Basically me experimenting with my witch character Gundula and a tiger she has to tame. It became a comic when I realised that it was far too much fun to stop. Updates Thursdays if nothing gets in the way. Rated E

A Knight's Tale

This is supposed to be my main comic, although it's as of yet the smaller of the two. It's a graphic novel, the plot of which (among others) I wrote between 2006 and 2008, and now I'm finally getting my arse in gear to draw it. Meet drunken robber-knight in rusty armour Walter von Bechern and witch and expert-distiller Gundula, as they both try to cope with the Middle Ages coming to a close. Updates whenever I can be bothered to finish a page (which should be once a week). Rated M

When you take a look at my user page, you'll find four comics, as each one has a version in another language in addition to English (although my priority is of course on the English version): A Knight's Tale has a German version as well, while Master the Tiger has an additional Plattdüütsch version. This is our local minority language in which the original version was conceived.

Although each comic's versions are for a large part identical, they are really separate versions of their own, as I do not simply translate them, but rather try to retain their feel. That's why, each version of each comic leads kind of a life of its own, even if this means that I keep having to make alterations to panels or even completely redraw them. Note that this isn't actually much more work than making a highly accurate translation, but it's far more fun for you as well as for me. These alterations are usually only minor ones, and of course I'll do my best to make sure, that nobody misses anything. On request I will also give information on what's exactly different and why.

Ah, yes. I almost forgot:
There are several artists on Drunk Duck who sometimes include one or two snippets of German in their comic and are very anxious on getting it right. As I have a bit of experience in translating I'm of course always glad to help. Just send me a PQ.
