A good webcomic script?

No, this doesn't belong in the "networking and community projects" - what I mean by "script" is a good PHP client that's similar in fashion to Drunk Duck, allowing me to simply take a comic page or twenty-five and upload it/them to my website to be released on the date of my choosing, as well as newsposts and an allowance for visitor discussions. Drunk Duck is awesome and all, but I want to make sure I have a mirror on my own site; plus, I'd like to put my ad on Project Wonderful on a few "outside" sites like Dr. McNinja and Comicspace, and I'm not entirely sure how linking that to a Drunk Duck would look in terms of professionalism. (No offense meant to the Duck, of course.) Right now the only good client I know of sorts the comics by the image's file name (I.E. 070309.jpg for a comic that's supposed to be released of July 3rd, 2009), and since my comics' file names go by p01.jpg, p02.jpg, and so on, and I really don't feel like going through and changing them all, this won't really do. So, any suggestions?

why don't you just rename the files and use comic gen . with the pxx.jpg file names you gave i'm guessing there can't be more then 99 right ? or there are programs that can rename masses of files . it would certainly take less time than looking around for whatever it is you are looking for

If you want it to be professional, you are going to have to put in some time, and renaming everything might have to be one of those things you spend a few hours on. (It doesn't take too long to rename an archive. I did my 400+ page archive in less than 2 hours.)
Are you looking to host it yourself or just use a different community?
ComicGenesis, smackjeeves, and the other communities aren't any more professional than DD. And if you want control over the look and feel of your site, hosting it yourself is the way to go.
Try using wordpress with comicpress . A lot of comics are using it these days and it looks good.

WUT ? 2 hours ??? just use some generic image management programm (i use ACDC ) , you can prolly batch rename them in less than 5 minutes . Just look around , you can find a free demo version of something to rename files or what not

I know someone (or maybe two someones) who's working on an ideal comic archive script with all that stuff you mentioned and more, since most of them seem to be a bit inadequate in at least one aspect right now. He/they don't seem to be working on it actively though. But when it comes out, if it's as awesome as it sounds, I'll definitely post about it.
