Ok... so I took a week of vacation from my job last week. During my quiet time away from the retail frenzy I discovered the availablity of a piece of software that piqued my interest. It was OEM software. No longer available on the open market. No longer supported by the manufacturer. But what the hey... a fairly expensive piece of software for $29 that said you could make a 3-D interactive web page with it, I took the leap. After a little thinking, I decided I would create the very environment that I draw from week to week. I would create an actual 3-D Office Zone! Within it, one could read the latest strip and see some of the other earlier work and special art for the strip that has occured over the last year. I also felt it would be a great way to celebrate a year's worth of weekly comics. It isn't anywhere near finished. But it is up and will give you a hint of what I am trying to do. Just drop by The FLOOR, let the "world" load up and then click on the pic! You can then wander across the parking lot and into the store and see the work in progress.
At this time this world only works with Internet Explorer and AOL. As Netscape is what AOL is built on, I can only presume that Netscape will work as well. Please let me know if you discover any other browsers this will work in.
I hope you enjoy, and that this will amuse you and pique your interest!
Feel free to comment here or on the page! See ya in the store! (ok... once I can get some avatars together, I will literally see ya in the store...)

This is amazing. I'm going to continue to wander around this place. Scott McCloud would be proud. Keep it up!
Edit- Haha, I accidently pushed the "gravity" button while I was out in the middle of the blue space, so now I'm flying into a big light blue void.

I am tripping balls walking through this. This is the craziest thing I've seen on the Duck, hands down. I, too, floated off into the void, but when I turned gravity and collisions back on, I quickly fell to what I assume will eventually be a nasty death.
Is it possible to look up/down or strafe? This is just my pre-programmed FPS instincts coming out, and the urges can be strong. Is there anyway to interact with anything in the world? (I.e. clicking on it, pressing enter near it, etc.)
I like it. I'm interested to see what comes out of it.
