Hey, hey!
So the top screen of my nintendo DS doesn't work anymore, and like, every game for the DS uses the top screen, so now it's only good for playing gameboy games. Can you guys recommend some good GBA games for me???

Check out the Castlevanias; they're top notch. Circle of the Moon is kinda weak, but the other two are fine. In the same vein there are the Metroid games (Fusion and Zero Mission), both great. A lot of the Final Fantasys have been re-released on GBA if you're into that sort of thing.

Tales of Phantasia was released to the GBA, and I've enjoyed what I've played of it.
The Continued Misadventures of Bonebird - a poor bird's quest for the ever-elusive and delicious apples.

Metroid Zero Mission.
It's a great game for sequence breaking, speed running and killing things. There's also quinzillions of expansions to find :P
You can also play the original metroid on it.
I would also recommend The Legend of Zelda, minish cap. That one's just fun.
Metroid Fusion would be a wise investment aswell, although not as great as most of the things other people have suggested...
And last but not least, Wario Land 4 because it's just awesome like that.
EDIT: Dang inkmonkey beat me to the metroid games.

The Advance Wars games, Drill Dozer, Metroid Zero Mission and Metroid Fusion... all great games. And yes, Zelda: Minish Cap was short but excellent.
I'd recommend Tactics Ogre: Knight of Lodis if you're a strategy RPG fan. But it's kind of hard to find.

Has anyone here played Riviera: The Promise Land? Apparently it's very rare. I'm wondering if i should order it from amazon or not.

It's interesting, but it's extremely easy to screw yourself over with one wrong action taken.
99% of people would've finished this sente

Riviera is kind of like a mix of RPG and puzzle game. The goal is to figure out how to get the highest rank in each fight to get the best items and the opportunity to explore more of the game world. It mixes elements of board games, turn-based RPGs and Japanese style adventure games. Unfortunately, Atlas decided it was necessary to dub over the voices in the US version. When the voices are only battle quotes, I find this highly unnecessary and they are quite bad. The PSP version is better in that respect since it has the option to change the voice track.
Sting makes some pretty good portable games (I wish their console games were as fun and inventive). They also put out Yggdra Union for the GBA. If you like games like Advance Wars or Fire Emblem, it is definitely worth picking up.
I'm surprised nobody brought up the GBA version of Harvest Moon.
