5.18 Gwang-Ju Massacre(Code Name:Elaborate Vacation)
Not lot of American nor any other people outside Korea don't know this because not lot of people care about Korean History.
This is the story.
Dictador Park Chung-Hee
In 1979,Korean Dictador Park Chung-hee was shot by director of the KCIA(Something like CIA in Korea)and of course,Korea was in panic.
And then,In December 12,A military General Chun Doo-hwan Storm and his man storm in to the Ministry of National Defence and take over the power.

He used the president as a Puppet for a while and then in May 17 1980,The Dictador Deploy the Martial Law to all over The Korea and send paratroopers to Gwang Ju.
As you can see,All the people protested about this because the Martial Law was not right.A lot of protester was out in the street.Of course there were lot of innocent people there...
But the paratrooper was sent and they started to beat up everyone.Every one mean Everyone.Innocent Men,Women,High school students...Everyone in sight was beaten up by the paratrooper

The beating Up made people of Gwang Ju more angry and few people even died.
The protest got wilder and wilder
Then in May 21,There were a lot of protester near the Jeon la province Hall.There were paratrooper,Police and everyone.Chopper was flying everywhere and it was pretty wild but it was pretty peaceful because there was a roumor Paratrooer are going away today.Then in 1:00 PM,Korean National Anthem came out from the speaker.Everyone was singing the anthem.Them one moment,Paratroopers fired to the protester.A lot of innocent people was shot there and it was a massacre.
