So anyone else watch this show? I thought the first two episodes where top-notch, hopefully this show can redemp itself and perhaps top season 5

Even in its less-entertaining seasons, I've still been able to enjoy 24. My problem is that I'm able to see through their formulas and it starts to bother me. The characters are more like tools for the writers now. "You'll be the guy that always disagrees with everyone so we can make tension. And who can we bring back from a previous season that will surprise everyone?"

Still, I enjoyed these first two episodes. It's fun to see them create new situations that are precarious and yet can be solved in one day by a cranky, tireless Jack Bauer. My problem is that I keep trying to use the typical 24 formula to predict stuff, so I hope they do something out of the ordinary for this season.

This season seems to be off to a pretty slow start to me. I'll have to watch and see how things turn out. I have to admit, my expectations won't be that high after the last season, so hopefully the writers will surprise me.

I think the big surpise will be Dennis Hopper

I have yet to see this show. I would buy the season DVD's if I wasn't such a tight-wad.
