I would personally love to be a presenter for one of the categories! I'd probably do best at Slice of Life, or best Strip, but anything you toss my way is ok!!

I'll present as well. As long as it isn't anything in the adult category.

Could I be a presenter? I'd prefer something horror, mystery, art, writing or fantasy-related. But if there's nothing like that left, I'm game for anything.

Alright! So I definitely have more than enough presenters. I've done first come, first serve on presentation duty, but I will make sure to keep a list of alternates. I needed to tap into that last year, so don't give up hope =D
Presenters, I will PQ you your assignments no later than August 4th.
We still need panelists! Please sign up =D

Hello Amanda...If there are still some spots to present, I'd like to help out. Not sure if I can sit on a panel too...if so, put me in anywhere for whatever you need.
Would just like to help! All the best to you. The page looks great!

I'll be a panelist. I hope you got a better system than last year though. I heard panelists discussed without including all of the panelists for the category assigned. I'm proned to be excluded but put me down anyway. Should be fun.

This year the judges are encouraged to discuss in a private forum. This way the admins of that forum (me and Amanda) can make sure that no one skips due process. Or at least they won't openly admit it this time :P

If you're signing up as presenters, I will keep adding you to my alternates list in the order you request, but no guarantees. (Except Trevor - I already had you on my list.)
Panelists! I would like your opinions - JustNoPoint has set up an offsite, restricted access forum for you to discuss the finalists amongst your fellow panelists. This is a more secure, easier method than the PQ system of last year. My question is - should this be a mandatory tool for panels? Or should it be an option along with the PQ setup?

i don't know what others think but for me that forum is a good idea, makes it more dinamyc.
regrets i've had a few but then again, too few to mention,
i did what i had to do and saw it through without exemption.
I planned each charted course; Each careful step along the byway,
But more, much more than this, I did it my way.

As I recall I told you I would volunteer, something my dear old pappy told my never to do, for Adult, Sci-Fi and Fantasy. If you are desperate I will present also.

amandaI found PQs worked fine last year. I don't mind posting my thoughts in the forum instead, but there is a danger that people on other panels will be tempted to comment on (and thereby influence) the "official" panelists' thoughts.

To ensure the debate is only between the relevant panelists, you'd really need a sub-forum for each panel with access restricted to those panelists only, and that seems a little excessive. No strong feelings on this but I'd suggest keeping the forum as an optional, rather than a mandatory, tool.

That's exactly what I did :P
Each category is already made and when a person registers they simply tell me what panel they judge and I give them the title/access to that section.
Everything has already been made and is ready. No one in a different panel can see categories that they are not judging. You should already know by my comic work that I am excessive XP

That sounds like a great set up to me. If its voluntary though doesn't that make it harder to get people to use it. I'd like to use the forum but I may have to convince all of the other panelists I'm judging with to use it too. If they don't want to then I'd probably have to compromise to use PQs but again I don't really like the PQ system. I have to PQ them anyway to let them know I want to use the forum.
It just makes more sense to me as all panelists can read each others thoughts at the same time rather than going back and forth between multiple people through PQs.
I hope no one is that stubborn though hahah!
Mandatory sounds harsh but it gets my vote.
Kudos to you guys on setting up this whole award show btw and thanks for letting me volunteer : D
