Oh I saw Cheaper By the Dozen at a party once. It was so horrible I had to walk out quite a few times. I like Steve Martin, but dear god, why did he have to make that terrible movie??? I heard Shopgirl was actually really good. I suppose even actors can make mistakes in their career. :P

You know the answer to that one.

Roger Moore WAS in the original Pink Panther movies. He played Clouseau himself after his plastic surgeory in Curse Of The Pink Panther.

I never said he wasn't. Alan Arkin played Clouseau in one of the movies, too. I wasn't pulling names out of the air. And for the record, I've got nothing against Steve Martin, I just think he's too old to be playing Clouseau in his youth.

I'm looking forward to Pirates of the Carribean 2...then again I'm dreading it. I'm worried it's going to be like the Mummy 2, where the comedy and one-liners get taken too far.

I saw the trailer this weekend. Apart from the villains that looks like they're ripped straight out of One Piece, there was A LOT of comic relief in the trailer. More than I would expect from a film of this sort.

OH and Dungeon Siege! I hope that one doesn't suck!

I hope you're prepared for disappointment .

Thank god Dungeons & Dragons II was made-for-cable!

I have to wonder, why was it made AT ALL?

Technically, the D&D movie wasn't a follow-up to the original. I saw it on Sci-Fi, and it played out ALOT better than the first one, more like it was based on a for real RPG. But still kind of a down-toned Tolkienesque storyline.

I want to know how he gets all this money. For most of these films he's also the executive producer, which more often than not means he fronts a decent amount of cash into the project. By now, people know who Uwe Boll is and what to expect out of his crapfests. How can he possibly make enough to keep funding his own films? Title recognition only goes so far when you have a reputation like his.

From what I understand, there was a German law written in such a way that he could make box office flops and still earn a profit (like, the government would subsidize the arts or something).

But I've recently heard that the law has changed and his cinematic disasters probably wouldn't make him the money they used to.

Pink Panther? For some reason a very bad furry 3D version of the panther in the real world comes to mind... basically something like those horrid Scooby-Doo movies.
Actually, it's not the Pink Panther cartoons, but a remake of the original live-action Pink Panther movie with Inspector Closeau(or however his name is spelled).
Really? I didn't even know there was a live-action Pink Panther movie! Haha, goes to show how much I know...

yep the Pink Panther was actually the name of a diamond. The cartoon pink panther was used in the titles at the start and eventually got his own cartoon show.

Is the "Dead or Alice" thing a typo of "Dead or Alive", meaning a video game adaptation? If this is true, this makes me lololol in my pants. REAL boobies this time? Or are they gonna pull a Squenix on us and try to milk out the best CGI boobies possible...

It would be a typo as there is a Dead of Alive movie coming out. It is live action and so far looking pretty piss poor.

(Except for V for Vendetta. I'm not familiar with that name.)

If you're counting the Da Vinci Code as a remake, then V for Vendetta would fit into the same category. They're both based on books.

Perhaps he thought the Da Vincci Code wasn't even worth catagorising? :D
I really shouldn't say anything though, I only know the book by reputation...
A bad reputation.
Still, I cannot judge.

So are there any good movies coming out? All those look like young-adult/mass-market moneymakers to me.
I don't mean to be snobbish, because some mass-market/young-adult fare is pretty damn good on occasion, but almost all of those seem like cashcows and nothing else.

try to milk out the best CGI boobies possible...
That line was beautiful! ^_^
