i think this is definatly one of the coolest things ever. the video's explanation is enough to know why. this guy probably fell to earth faster then most people would have becuase i'm sure he had balls that weighted 10 tons each.
i've always wanted to go into space without a space ship. granted in a space ship would be beyond amazing as well, but to have barely anything separating you from the breath of the universe...what the hell could you even compare that too? and yes,yes, i know it's not out of planetary orbit or anything,but still, it's THERE.
i'd probably loose it up there though.hell, i got myself stuck on top of a peice of playground equipment last month.haha!

He wasn't in the Thermosphere. He was in the Stratosphere being at 30 km above the earth. The Thermosphere is 80-85 km.
Amazingly on a previous jump in 1959 the pressurization of his glove failed and it swelled to 2-3 times normal size! He went on the fly three tours in Vietnam and spend 11 months as a POW in the Hanoi Hilton.
