Well, it's been just over a year since I started down this road, and in all aspects, I have to say that I'm pleased with it. Save, one. I'm sure it's the same aspect that we all aren't happy with when it comes to our own comics. I speak, of course, of readership.

For whatever reason, my comic just doesn't seem to draw people in like I had hoped. I the occasional comment every two or three pages, usually saying something nice about the action, the pretty girls, or what not. Now don't get me wrong, I do appreciate every kind word, but it doesn't seem like many people find their way to me.

Now I know what you're thinking. "God, what a whiner. Suck it up and move on!" But I'd like to take this opportunity to avail myself of this kind community and ask for help. I want to ask those of you who read it to evaluate and critique my comic. Is my art boring? Confusing? Is my pacing too slow or fast? Is the action unclear? Is the writing just awful? Please, help me improve my comic. The story I have to tell is very interesting, really!

It's well drawn, but I must say that I think you should add background and a little colour if you wish. Otherwise, it looks okay.
Updates Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday's (depends).

It's interesting, but I'm finding the pacing to be kinda slow. Did you really need all those comics to have people sit down at a table?
That's "Dr. BlkKnight" to all of you.

The art's pretty solid, but I agree that some backgrounds are needed.

Thanks for the C&C, everyone. I hope that this will help me to improve. I'll start working to get more BGs in there, as well as work on the pacing. Perhaps if I had added some dialog boxes for an internal monologue would have helped with the pre-battle pages? It would even save me the trouble of creating so many thought balloons (I hate those...), while giving the reader insight into what the main character's thinking.

We're tiny drops in a huge bucket man, and there are only so many readers to go around.

My advice? Try something that will turn some heads. Different seems to be working for me.

Also -advertise! A one day banner ad on S*P got me 10,500 hits for $50. Of those I've maintained 6,000 readers and I'm getting 70 new uniques each day, all from 24 hours of advertising and the subsiquent word of mouth, mostly myspace... mostly.

Now, lets have a look...

Blacks need to be blacker. Clearer font choices would be nice. Nice vocabulary, intelegent dialogue. I agree about the backgrounds. I can't comment on the art as I'm not a fan of anime, but it is definatly anime, and there is definatly an audiance for anime. I'm just not one of them. The lines improve quickly though... I might redo the introduction so people get a better 1st impression. Maybe that's cheating though. Up to you. The filler art hurts me. It makes me want to read something else. You'd hooked me, now you're throwin me back. This ain't catch and release son! :p Allright, I'm boomerang for ya... The text threatens to burst free from the speech bubbles like Dolly Pardon from a Walmart Corset... still here... and I'm into another batch of filler art and I'm done. Sorry. That's you're answer. Atleast from me. It's not bad, it's just not good enough. Sorry. I am.

Speed it up. Give us something to releate to. Plant a hook and never stop reeling us in. The art is solid but we need a reason to care. It's a critisism I get a lot too. I don't establish my characters well. I already care about my characters so I forget that you need to care about them too.

That's my crit. You got talent man, and no one can take that away from you, but if you want an audiance you're gonna need more. You need to age and learn. It takes a lot of very hard work but you can do it. That much I'm sure of. The one thing we can always do is never give up.

I've given up following my dreams. I just asked where they're going and I'm gonna meet them there.

Wow. If advertising there can do that, it's definitely something to put money away for.

I really like the fonts, but if they're that hard to read, I'm not exactly married to them. :P I am gonna work on the backgrounds, but at this point, all the action is taking place in a pretty blank room on purpose (a psychological effect on visitors by the owners of said room). I was considering redoing the intro as well. Something like a "this is where the story happens, and this is what's happened since today to the story's beginning" kinda thing since it's set in the near (+30 years) future, and I don't feel that's clear enough.

About the filler art: so is it better to have nothing up than to let people know that I've not abandoned them? I know it can be a bit jarring going from story to filler, but if it's working against me, I can get rid of it as well.

All in all, you've given me alot to think about. Thanks! ^_^
