Hello Everyone, and welcome to the official Wizard World PHILADELPHIA Thread! Here you will find updates on events and happenings to come. But first things first! Below you will find details on how to get your table space in the Drunk Duck Alley.

Wizard World Philadelphia June 15-17

Registration will open: 10 am pacific time; Friday April 13 (lucky)
and will end 6PM pacific time; Tuesday April 17

Once registration opens send a PQ to carly_mizzou with the title:
WW Philly Sign Up
and include:
Real Name
User Name
(for yourself and any additional team members attending)
Requested Day(s): Friday, Saturday, Sunday (in order of preference)
Shift: Morning or Afternoon
What to you plan to do?: (very basic description: just sketch? Sell your own materials, other?)

In terms of how space will be broken up I won't have details until I get an idea of how many people are requesting space.

Now to a few "parameters"

1. Users will be put on a list in the order I get their request (first come; first served) that being said please don't request space if you're not completely sure you'll be attending. After table space is assigned, any remaining users that don't get space will be put on a waiting list. If users cancel or other space is made available these users will be contacted to fill these spots.

2. All users will be equally considered regardless of skill level, comic genre, or format. (all are welcome!) -BUT-

You must contribute to an "active" comic at Drunk Duck. Meaning at least one comic with a few pages. No requirement here, just want to make sure we give the space to artists/writers looking to promote their work

You cannot promote comics/content that uses licensed characters; Spriters are welcome, but you must have your own creations to promote.

You cannot be promoting Adult Content

You must be a DD member in good standing (not banned; frozen; or flaming the heck outta people daily)

And that's all I can think of! (whew)

Space is limited, and we're going to do our best to make sure everyone who requests a spot can get it. But we don't want to leave anyone out of the fun! So if you don't get table space, or you're more of a "casual" user on Drunk Duck, you're more than welcome to come hang out at the DD Alley - this time around we'll also be hosting an actual Wizard World panel and having events in the DD Alley for all to enjoy.


This is a rare chance to support the web comics community in person and put faces to the user names. Wizard World LA was, WOW, A BLAST! Everyone who came out had a great time. So if you're jonesing for an authentic cheese steak (with Wise potato chips and a Tastykake krimpet!), want to run up the "Rocky Steps" or think hanging out with other great web comics artists in the city of brotherly love for the weekend sounds like fun, here's your chance.

Yes we have A TON of plans. There were a lot of things we couldn't do at Wizard World LA becuase of time/planning constraints. The Wizard People are thrilled though and are providing us with new opportunities at their conventions.

I can't really announce a whole lot now because the plans aren't finalized, but there will be lots for DDer's to do, and it won't just be limited to people with table space.

I was definately going to Wizard's World Philly anyway, and sitting along side some fellow duckers is really tempting. I'm gonna take a couple of days to decide, but even if I don't try to win some table space, I'll definately be hangin around.

I was bummed that I couldn't go to WW LA. There's no way I'm missing this. Since I live in Philly, travel isn't an issue this time.

I definitely want to try to go to Philly since I live in PA but I probably wont get a table. But I would love to hang out with you folks!

I'm hoping to go to this as well. I have some stuff for a table and I'd be willing to do panels - though I don't really know anything. :)

I seriously want to go, just need to check with my parents and whatnot. It should be okay, since I'll be 19 and Philly's not that far.

I'll most likely be there anyway with Silent Devil, so I'll see ya'll there reguardless.

I'm pretty sure I can make that one! I'll wear my Guy Fawkes mask and bring my smoke machine and bullhorn to make the biggest impression, that you ever did see...

It's not *to* late! WE have very limited space in some half table slots for each day. If you can get your request in soon....

I discussed it with my better half and its an all signs point to yes kind of thing. I'd really, really like to be there. She has to work, so there may be a conflict there (since her schedule is on a week to week basis) so theres a problem there. I'm almost certain I CAN make it. I may sell autographed 8x10s of myself for 20 bucks like Eddie Munster does. I may cause a scene or just yell inapropraitely. It'd be worth going just to meet some of you face to face (even if I'll be wearing a mask) I look forward to it.

If I can't be there in person, someone bring a lap top and I'll web cast myself there.
