Anthropomorphics are the best comics, hands down!
The best comics are ones with good art, a great story, and a smart cartoonist/artist/writer at the wheel. Bonus points of the artist has a sense of humility and isn't a dick.
The majority of anthropomorphic (I consider "anthropomorphic" and "furry" the same; I don't see the distinction between the two) comics dissolve into nothing but a mess of sex and fanservice, so when most people see two-legged animal characters in a webcomic, their first reaction is to avoid the comic all together. There are some anthro/furry comics that have been done well (so I've been told), but I don't read a lot of webcomics myself (the only one I actually read in its entirely and liked was Rice Boy) so I can't really say.
The only time anthro/furry comics work, in my opinion, is if there's a definite, logical reason for the existence of the anthro characters, other than as stand-ins for humans.
This wasn't directed at Hunchdebunch; I haven't read this comic at all, so I'm not justified in making claims about it or him, but I wanted to touch on this claim. Anthropomorphic comics usually aren't the "best in the business" because the majority of the time they aren't done well.
Of course, I say that, I'm a 2 foot talking jackrabbit.
Uh, no, you're a human.
