I don't really understand all of them myself, but I think that one refers to foreshadowing. Leave hints about what is to come so it isn't an implausible outcome.

Id also add...WRAP UP EVERY LOOSE END. I hate dangling plot lines. The reason the wire is the greatest tv show ever made is because they answered every question that was raised, finished every plotline. dont do a heroes, or lost.
