If that's true, then that makes me want to see it even more. Pixar has made me cry with almost every one of their movies, and if they can pull it off with a Charlie-Chaplin-type of robot where all I can do is read his emotions through his eyes, then I'm definitely hooked. :)

What's funny about Pixar is that their trailers rarely ever manage to make me interested in the movie. But I watch it because, you know, it's Pixar... and inevitably I love the movie. The Incredibles is still my favorite. This Wall-E trailer is no different. I'm not really all that interested, but of course I'll watch it and hopefully love the movie as usual.

Trailers that really get me excited somehow end up spoiling too much of the movie. Maybe Pixar's doing something right with these vague, low-key trailers.

Looks fascinating. I usually love Pixar movies, and I think the CGI approach works best when it's dealing with mechanical things - like robots - so I can see this movie being awesome.

Saw the trailer for this when it was mentioned in another thread, I liked the look of it then too. Really looking forward to this one.

I like trailers like this, they don't give away the plot in thirty seconds before the film's even bloody released. They let the curiosity build up, eventually making me so excited that I'd see the film even if it was universally agreed that it gave people eye cancer.

I can't remember when or where I first heard about this movie, but I think it'll be very enjoyable. If nothing else then for the fantastic backgrounds it seems to have.
Yes, I agree with Custard Trout, both on the form of the trailer and the looking-forward-to-ness

And the no-speaking part would be great, then I don't have to worry too much about it being dubbed. I've been quite sad since they started doing that to all animated movies, it's just so poorly done where I live that it's a shame. And from the trailer it looks like you can easily tell the emotions. I've seen it without sound and I had no problems understanding.

But we'll have to be patient, it'll take some time before it get's to most of you, and even longer for the rest of us most likely.

There will be voiced charactes, as well as some live actors in the movie. The main character may not have much of a vocabulary, but there will be at least some dialog in the film.

I remember going to an IMAX theater and seeing a big poster for this, but didn't know what it was...thought it was a new Johnny 5. Anyway it looks like it'll be fun to watch, and as everyone else has said, it's Pixar, so it has to be good. :D

WAAA Kawaii!!! ^-^ Everything Pixar does is great. My least favorite was bugs life. I still think they are the best out there at making CG animation. Ratatoulle is my favorite, course i love fuzzy litte animals.

Pixar movie trailers rarely make me exited to see there movies.
once I do see them they always blow me away.

And yeah, Incredibles is in my top ten.

Just saw it yesterday. Hands down, best Pixar movie yet. I would say it had only ten minutes or so of dialogue, and it still pulled emotion out of me even with "Charlie Chaplin"-type pantomime through the entire film. When a movie can do that, you know it's good.

Even the message that the film was trying to get out there was great. I don't want to spoil it, because it's definitely worth going to see. But the whole story was awesome, and since there was not much dialogue, it can easily be understood by everyone around the world. Which is good, because it had a great message. (Pretty much: don't f**k up our planet, or we'll turn out like this.)

Even the short film (I think it was called Presto!) was really funny. :) I love their shorts.

I really liked the movie, but it still ranks below Incredibles and Ratatouille for me. It's about equal with Monster's Inc, though that movie was a little bit more touching. Really good movie, though.

Currently my all time favorite movie, and #1 pixar film with Ratatouille pulling second and Monsters Inc in third.

My personal favorite pixar movies so far were Toy Story 2 and The Incredibles, but I kinda could tell that Finding Nemo was really the best film Pixar's made until now. Even though it wasn't my personal favorite, I think it had the most well written character arc's, the best established conflict, and plot; it was the best "film"

Wall-e blows it away.

I found WALL-E to be a bit more preachy than other Pixar movies. It wasn't bad, but that does knock it down a few pegs as far as where I would rank it compared to their other movies. It does rank higher than Bugs Life, Finding Nemo, Toy Story 2 and Cars, but I think the rest of their roster ranks a little higher, especially the Brad Bird movies.

I haven't seen this movie yet but my parents did and they hated it. They said they went because the NY Times liked it and compared to Charlie Chaplin, but according to them Chaplin's form of comedy was highly evolved and complex, while Wall-E is made with a five year old audience in mind. I have to see it to make my own judgement, but I really doubt it'll be better than the Incredibles. Or even close.

I'm going to have to disagree with you on this aspect. I think it's a movie for all ages, especially because there is no dialogue in the film. I saw people young and old in the audience and we were all laughing at the same parts. Most of the kids I heard in the audience were asking questions the entire time. It was pretty annoying, to tell you the truth. ("Is Wall-E gonna die? What's happening next? Can I go to the bathroom, mommy?" ) ;)

...Also, there were alot of "adult things" that Pixar slipped in the movie that a kid would not understand--for example:

1) The film contains numerous references to Apple computers: -when WALL-E is fully charged by the sun, he makes the same "boot up" sound that Apple computers have made since the earliest Macintosh system -

2) Wall-e collects numerous objects from the 60's-80's including a VCR tape of Hello, Dolly! (1969) (featured prominently in the film, such as the opening number and the clip he watches on the TV), a Rubix Cube, and even an Atari 2600 with the game Pong. Despite the film taking place over 800 years after these objects were created, all the objects are still in working condition.

3) The last piece of debris that clears away from WALL-E as he leaves Earth's atmosphere is the Russian satellite Sputnik.

4) The end credit montage not only contains artwork in the style of many ancient cultures, but also mimics specific artists such as Vincent Van Gogh, Georges-Pierre Seurat, and Pierre-Auguste Renoir. (I noticed this right off the bat)

5) The name of the ship that the humans are living on is "The Axiom." In logic and math, an axiom is something unquestionable or taken for granted.

6) Wall-E's name is actually an acronym, standing for "Waste Allocation Load Lifter - Earth-Class." ...EVE stands for "Extraterrestrial Vegetation Evaluator". The large Wall-A machines in the Axiom ship stood "Waste Allocation Load Lifter - Axiom-Class."

I can't wait to see it...

Saw it about 2 weeks ago and I have to say, cutest Pixar movie ever. The romance, the story, the... everything. I didn't dislike anything about the movie.

Is it my favourite Pixar movie? Hmmm... can't say. I will, however, say that it is up there and definitely one of my favourites.
