hey all, i'm still fairly new around drunk duck. But i've been working on my comic and now i'm at the point of getting it's own domain.

my question is, if your doing your webcomic trying to make money on it, is it more professional to have your own site with your ad's their? Or do you run everything off your drunkduck site?

I've seen some site hosted on drunkduck, with their ads on the page, but with the banner above, it just seems like the site is bombarded with advertisements? (i've seen some that don't look overdone) I'm not sure what to do.

Whether you move to your own domain or stay at DD, it's a good idea to get your own domain name (i.e. www.yourcomic.com). It's a lot more professional, and much easier for people to remember.

but do you think i should redirect the domain here to DD or just have it over there. I plan on having both, just not sure where to put PW and Adsense ads when i get that set up.

I would guess you'd want it to go to whichever had the advertising. Or have it point to the one that will be the 'main' site. If they're both going to be mirror images of each other, flip a coin. Pointing to DD might introduce new people to DD (never a bad thing) but having your own domain is not expensive at all. And if your comic takes off, you'll want your own domain name as a place to sell any sort of print books or merchandise.

I would put the PW and adsense ads on both sites (might as well).

Also, you can have your DD redirect to your main. That makes the most sense.
