It's not boring, it's low key.
I've watched several of his clips, and they are all great. If you just listen, it sucks... if you just watch, it sucks. But together, they work brilliantly.

The low-key voice is part of what makes it funny, considering the subject matter. And the drawings illustrate his points perfectly. This guy has an awesome sense of timing.
