Pretty much.
The detail and cohesion was added with the little technical bits like dabbing here and there, stencilling with the hub-cap, and burning it. The spray is just there to add a wet paint fill and some gradient tones..
Good finished image BTW! Reminds me of watercolourists that use brush techniques to make trees etc.

Whoa, I wish people would use that kind of thing for their graffiti. That's just awesome. Traditional paint is tricky to work with so that must be really tricky... not to mention, er, toxic. O_o
