Latest news is that people WERE up all night trying to get this problem sorted out. It was a very long hard slog but they managed to get things fixed.

Well I don't know about you but I think this proves that Platinum needs a new dedicated coder.

What we need... is a hero.

EDIT: Even when he was a "dedicated coder" he was mostly working on Mr.Tiki and not really giving two shits about DD, IIRC. He's probably just sick of the site and wants to try new things, can't blame him.

At least that setup was better then the current one. I'm not saying we need Volte6 to return. Mores specifically we need SOMEONE to monitor this site and tinker with it. When the site becomes sluggish, that person can start working on it immediately instead of having to wait for it to go down and have some contractors working on it then.

A badly managed site will cause people to leave. I remember the last time the site was being terrible (I think they were changing servers at the time). Many comic artists (some of them actually good) stopped coming to this site and started focusing on posting their comic elsewhere.

Ah, I misunderstood your post. I agree with you, but I do think the site is well managed enough. The admins do a fine job despite gross limitations in their abilities, and the IT crew seems to do a good job editing bad ads out of rotation and getting the site up when broken.

I think I get what you mean by "managed" though. Someone who can sit down and fix the many bugs and bits of bad coding on the site. Though I keep comming back, I've never seen so many MySQL errors on a website in my life. Stuff like that is enough to turn people away.

Well I'm just glad we don't have to create new screen names... but I'm sure DD learned its lesson from the first time and has a back-up : D

honestly. i wanna say sorry. please don't ban me but i think it was my fault. i went on twitter and i was like "hey have you guys seen the jon and kate sex video?" then i put a link of my comics.

a few minutes later the site was down. i checked today and there was a weird spike of viewers of my comic yesterday.

i'm really sorry. i'm a good boy at heart. let me off with a warning this time...
