Number one is a real shocker. It's hard to believe anyone could fail so hard at site design.
If you are really curious and want to look at the number one abomination of the internet then you can go here, although I warn you, it nearly crashed my browser.
Number one wouldn't come up. Apears to be offline.
It looked pretty cool in the screencap though actually
Number 7 is meant to look that way, like Lothar's "coming soon" comic here at DD. Looking crazy, funky annoying is the whole point. So they succeeded perfectly in every respect.
-Websites that ONLY work in IE6 or IE7 and in any other browser the CSS formatting puts the text on top of images, outside of the page margins and generally all over the place because the designer was a tard who could barely do cross browser support if all they worked with was paragraph tags and nothing else.
-Facebook as a whole. It's confusing as *uck and designed by an idiot. Normally you get used to sites if you use them casually, but just when you do with Facebook they go and change it AGAIN and all the settings for important stuff like not getting sent e-mails for stupid updates of everything and not having your personal data available to everyone on an ordinary google search are buried under a pile of crap.
-Almost all Myspace pages. Myspace is the new Geocities- home for morons with no design genes in their entire ancestral line. Not to say ALL myspace users or even Geocities users are like that, it's just that those sites featured and still feature more than anyone's fair share of them.
Especial Myspace sins include:
*Massive scrolling pages were people have commented with massive images of themselves "being cool", making the page look like a bucket of emo idiots.
*Massive scrolling pages full of 25 meg gif movies and those oh so classic and "hilarious" /B/ macros.
*The autoplay horrible music playlist. ANY music playlist on autoplay is always horrible, even if you like those bands normally. Assaulting people with autoplay is like showing then your used toilet paper. At lease give us the choice!
*And the number one all time Myspace classic: non-scrolling background images that are so busy and stupid that you can't read the text through them.
*Lastly: Blogs.
Specifically blogs that only have one page and in that single 15 meter vertically scrolling page it contains about 25 gigabytes of jpegs, gifs and PNGs that the genius who posted doesn't realise that your browser has to load all at once to display their shitty page. This is where Google image search has annoyed me so many times by linking to there website abortions.

My bad, I left out an L. http://www.belladesoto.us
(Even though I'm linking it I still don't advise clicking it)

EDIT: Also Geocities is going offline soon thank christ. And I dont know how anyone can find Facebook confusing, it's pretty simple. Not Myspace simple, but at least people cant fully customize their page with a thousand glittering gifs that read "IM A BITCH AND PROUD OF IT"
somehow i knew that my name would come up in this thread.
good thing nobody ever saw my geocities page. kinda sad that GC is going down. facebook can never compare to the creative outlet that those early lycos network sites offered.
"lefarce" Said: I dont even have a facebook, when I did I used it for a couple of months and then did away with it. Maybe I'm not just completely inept vOv
Oh gods, you dug the hole deeper.
So you mean you used it enough in those months that you got that used to it? Sad, sad, sad... -_-
The Bella page did crash my browser, but I'm the kind of person who would look at that and think "Awesome!"
So, I liked it, probably because I was only looking, and didn't have to actually do anything with it.

Yeah it sure is sad that someone knows how to use a social networking site, lets go to a webcomics forum and act superior. Also I didnt spend months figuring some archaic system out, pouring over booklets and studying so I can learn how to send my first sticker, I pretty much knew what to do from the start because it's really not that hard at all. I think it's a personal problem with you, broseph.
I think what's happened here is you tried to burn me initially, failed and now can't take it. Ah well.

I hate flash only sites the worst. Stupid ones that take ages to load because they HAVE to begin with a lame, pointless opening movie. Stupid ones where you can't select content or book mark or link to any of the pages. etc. Flash only sites are a pain.
I think the only thing that's confusing about facebook is they change around the interface and shit every stupid month >/ But it's pretty easy to understand as a whole, myspace is even easier and infants can twitter.
Agree Ozone i also hate flash sites, especially for loading comics it seems to take 3x longer and you always have to click again to enlarge the pic, rather than just doing it normally.
I found this eye stinging website a while ago that i think i posted here (or at least i remmeber anonymousposterchilds funny comments about) i'm surprised it didn't make the list.

Myspace does a lot of the same with interface. I'm not sure which is worse since I havent returned to Facebook in ages, but go to Myspace quite often. The new mail system for example - while not very confusing - is just an ugly mess.

I've never found facebook to be confusing. I like a site that keeps improving and evolving.
Maybe drunkduck should try changing it's interface once in awhile. hmm...

Facebook is and has always been a massive pile of horse crap. It's infested with more malware and scams than DD could ever be even if it was that size. The ONLY thing that shocking piece of excreta has going for it is the fact that people connect to their friends on it and can use it as a social directory. That's all, and it doesn't even do that very well.
Technically it's a joke. -____-
I think is this case, from this glass house, we can afford to throw stones and even small explosives in reasonable security.

MySpace is chiefly known as a peado paradise and Facebook is known for being great for scamming people out of their vital data.
"lefarce" Said: Not Myspace simple, but at least people cant fully customize their page with a thousand glittering gifs that read "IM A BITCH AND PROUD OF IT"
Yes, it does have some scams, but that's about content. People here have only been referring to the design as 'not confusing.' Having a design that isn't confusing doesn't make the content safe.
Oh, number 7, MIAUK is for M.I.A., she's one of my favourite music artists (I've been to that site a few times before seeing this thread). I like the website. But yeah, for anyone with epilepsy it'd be terrible.

Disgusting!

I can't even look at that site. In fact, I won't even bother looking in the first place, because it's implied it's that ugly.
