This is something I'm extremely interested in. It's two different topics, so I suppose I shall start off with the first. Good idea, yes?
Okay, for some strange reason, I love watching comic book artists at work. I'm talking like, youtube videos done with a camcorder. Not that watching digital artists recorded with some program like camstudio w/audio is boring. It's just, I'd rather be able to see the artist at work.
Traditional artists, especially. Watching their techniques and all that good stuff. I don't know, maybe I'm one of the only ones? It's just really fun to get a sneak peek at how my favorite artists work.
As for the second topic, I love seeing pictures of the artist's studio. Now, keep in mind I'm not necessarily saying anything fancy. I just mean like, their tools out on their table (whether it's a kitchen table, drafting table, or whatever). I'm not really sure why, it's just kind of a cool thing to see what artists work with, and where exactly they draw their pages.
Now you can do 1 of 3 things.
1.) Post a picture/video of your studio, or you at work on your comic.
2.) Reply, further discussing one or both of the above topics.
lol
One of my fav things about youtube is watching people do speed photoshop and paint (it's actually one of the things I do to motivate myself to work).
I actually did a recording of the digital work for page 092 of MOSAIC:

While I find it interesting to see others at work, I found out that I am REALLY nervous when someone is looking at me work. Whether it's comics, making music, writing (especially writing, I hate people reading over my shoulder) or cooking, I can't do it when someone's around.
I don't have a studio. The only thing I can record is what's on my table (with my low quality handphone). I have intention of getting a new camera for future videos:
But for digital stuffs, I usually prefer screen capture (warning, may make you dizzy with my habit of rotating paper when I ink):

I used CamStudio ( http://camstudio.org/ ). The quality was somewhat decent but I had to used 3rd party program to up the quality. Here's the output HD quality sample recorded by CamStudio with improved HD quality using Sony Vegas. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3QQl-cGuaK4&hd=1
I have those same pens!!! (far right) I love those things, don't you? :D
(I just had to say that; I'll post a picture of my studio...er...desk soon XD)
They're good, but I usually only use them for little details.
They are certainly good for detailing, but I use them for my entire pages XD. I just find that they hold up real well after erasing pencil from underneath them.
i havent laughed this hard in a long time. thank you. that was awesome.

Yes, that is a gigantic light-box. I got it free (the chair too) from a publishing company last year. It's not something I strictly need but it's really nice to have.
The box contains a mish-mash of pens, brushes, inks, rubbers, pencils and other asorted junk I've collected over the years.
One of my guilty pleasures is watching videos of people drawing on Youtube. I don't know why. It's fascinating to me. That's probably about 70% of all I watch on Youtube haha.
I draw traditionally since a) I don't have a tablet and b) I don't really want one because I love me some paper and pencil. But I have a few speedpaints up on my Youtube account, such as this character portrait.
Though I really want to, I haven't made any videos regarding drawing a comic page. I think it'd be a really interesting way to make a sort of pseudo-tutorial, but I'm just too much of a dummy to figure out how to get a good angle on it without using my hands haha. I guess it doesn't help that I don't draw on a flat surface either :P
Now to go back through this thread and watch the hell out of all those videos >>;
