So I wanted to ask all of you if anyone still play old games?
Because recently I've got a bunch of old games and i'm enjoying them as much as new ones.
I'll list the old games i'm into - and you can do the same
Age of Empires 2 + The conqueror expension
Heart of Darkness
Theme Hospital
American McGee's Alice
Fallout 2
The Curse of Monkey Island
I just finished Sega's Shining Force for the Genesis Emulator and I think that I will go on and play Shining Force II.
Since I don't have a new generation console (yet) I do play a lot of emulators (Genesis, SNES and Arcade).
My favorite old school games are
1.- Super Street Fighter II
2.- Megaman X Trilogy
3.- Chrono Trigger
4.- Final Fantasy III
5.- Donkey Kong Country
6.- Mortal Kombat II
7.- Super Mario World
8.- WWF Raw
9.- Legend of Zelda: Link to the Past
10.- Killer Instinct
As my avatar implies, the original DOOM series by John Carmack and American McGee are among my favorite old-school games. Then there's also the original Quake (the very first one for the PC).
Other games I also grew up playing:
1). Sim City (both the original and 2000)
2). Chrono Trigger (one of the best RPG's ever)
3). Metal Gear (original for the NES)
4). Earthbound (or "Mother 2" if you want to get technical about it).
5). Killer Instinct (Spinal for the win).
6). Metroid I & II (for the NES and Gameboy respectively)
7). The original Time Crisis (back when the franchise first appeared in arcades. I wasted so much money playing those).
8). Mega Man's 1-5 (NES)
9). Command & Conquer: Red Alert (the first one for the PC).
10). Super Mario World (spent a good chunk of my childhood unlocking every secret in the game).

And with strange aeons death may die."

C'mon, Fulgore kicks Spinal's boney ass all the time...
YES!
Well, from my experience playing the games ON systems, AND on emulators...(This list isn't in order, but in the order I think of them)
1.) Battletoads in Battlemaniacs - SNES (My avatar is from that game. I didn't care for BT&DD) 2.) Donkey Kong Country 2 - SNES (in my opinion, one of the best games of all time. The music, levels, all that just mix together perfectly) 3.) Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 4: Turtles in Time - SNES (I'm pretty sure it's the 4th one. But c'mon, this game is amazing)
Uh oh...I can't think of any other ones, besides the Biker Mice from Mars racing game that they had for the SNES.
D:
What's the difference between Fallout 2 and Fallout Tactic?
I only played the 2 and I want to know if the Tactic (( or even the one ) is worth it.
Yeah, no autosave is annoying and I hate rpg-combat
yeah, rpg combat is annoying.
and I just bought this pack which had Fallout, Fallout 2, and Fallout Tactics for 15 bucks so I am guessing I got cheated out of $5 or they are different games.

I've checked on the internet, and apparently, they all look pretty much the same.
They're different games, but I see no differences in the graphics or gameplay. Maybe someone who has played those could... help :D

yeah, the screenshots on the back of the box i bought could definately've been from the same game. They weren't, but it looked like it.

Fallout Tactics is pretty radically different from any of the other Fallout games. Not in a bad way, mind you, just different (it was the first Fallout game I ever played, so I'm a little biased).
As long as we're talking about classic games, what about NBA Jam: TE? The best basketball game ever made, in my book.
Playing wit ma Dreamcast I just got. Jet set Radio, Crazy Taxi, Phantasy Star Online, and Fatal fury: Mark of the wolves are all games I've gotten a fair share of playtime out of recently. On that note, JSR is very good in every regard except one: the control is horrible. You character will often magnetically attach to rails when you don't want them to, and they often overcorrect your jump for you, leading your landing from the side of a railing to 10 feet over the ledge. The system has otherwise been enjoyable.
I've been playing a lot of the old PSX RPG's lately. Wild ARMs 1&2, Final Fantasy 7-9, Legend of Dragoon, Final Fantasy Tactics, Chrono Cross, Xenogears, Saga Frontier, Vagrant Story, Suikoden, and so on and so forth.
Shining Force 1 & 2 - Those game are a bit simple but well balanced, challenging and highly enjoyable SRPGs.
No, that's Shining Force 2 and 3.
Shining Force 1 was very different. It was for the Sega Master system and you spent most of your time crawling around in a dungeon/mine/catacomb- all first person perspective, but not 3D, just a flat painted thing... And when you went into the shops or the tavern or whatever you just clicked the arrow to change which flat scene you were looking at in there to talk to a different guy etc.
There was only one town and it was at the entrance to the mine thing (I think), you had to keep going back there to get more stuff.
I've only played in on an emulator and that was years ago, but it was a very repetitive little dungeon crawler. Not like the fun strategy fights in 2 and 3. I loved those ^_^

Actually, I belive that was sold, at least in America, as "Shining in the Darkness", with the strategy games sold as "Shining Force" and "Shining Force 2".

Inkmonkey is correct. (Thank you Inkmonkey.) Ozone if you get the chance try and find the hand held remake of Shining Force. They added some cool extras and made the story more clear as well as adding a game plus function.
