Hello! We're kicking off the Awards process on July 24. Voting will be live then and run through July 31. You'll vote this site (it's not complete yet).
As of July 27th, we have enough presenters! Please continue to sign up for panels as we are in definite need of panelists and judges. Thanks so much for your interest, and don't forget to encourage your fellow Duckers to vote!
Panelists/Judges!
We want at LEAST three panelists for each category, and you can sign up for more than one category. Remember that, as a panelist, your job is to read all the comics in your category and make an unbiased decision (and not tell anyone outside your group who you picked, haha). We would prefer to assign categories at random to volunteers, so please don't request particular ones. You'll have a couple weeks to come to a final decision as a group. JustNoPoint set up a forum offsite where discussions concerning the nominees can be done in private, and only panelists in a particular category will be able to see discussions for that category. You can also use the PQ/email system to discuss things - entirely up to you. When a winner has been selected, you'll PQ me ^.^ If you sign up, please let me know your non-DD contact info (email, AIM screenname, whatever) and whether or not you are over 18 (so I don't force you to read dirty comics).

Amanda I would love to be a Presenter or anything you need. I would love even to just help out for the awards..... so if you have any spaces i'd love to be involved!
Same goes for presenting. I'ze down fer whatevaz, gurl.
I'm excited to help out.
you know why birds don't write their memoirs? because birds don't lead epic lives, that's why. who'd want to read what a bird does? nobody. that's who.
Sub, you had all the cool effects =] Mine's pretty small potatoes in comparison! What 3d program did you use?
Nice to have you aboard, Product - if you want to present or judge, please let me know!
I'm going to kind of hold off on category assignments unless they're specifically requested. I don't want to accidentally assign a category and have that person be a finalist =D
Edit: I think you might've missed one on your list that you had on the description site. I don't see Best Completed Comic (the completed project one is there though). I could've missed it though.
This is exciting to me. :D I've never witnessed DrunkDuck awards before. Too bad I don't have the time to be a panelist or a presenter due to my busy schedule, but it seems like this will be very fun.
So we decided not to have a "best dialogue" category? I thought there was a lot of support for that. It sucks that one year we have best story writing and the next best dialogue. Why can't we have both?
Btw, I'd be happy to help out as a presenter and panelist. Maybe the All-Ages category? I'd also go for the panel of website design.

My comics are about knives, rats, and rats with knives.
I did not get a chance to participate in last years (I was an secondary but did not do anything)
I would love to toss my hat in the mix this year... Panelist as well as a presenter please!!!
Eh, I figured since we had a whole discussion/vote about it, and most people said they were very unique things/talents and supported two awards that it was a given that that was what was going to happen...
It has always been my pet peeve that people lump dialogue writing and story writing together when they are very different -- or they think writing only refers to dialogue (having separate awards would clarify).
But I guess it's okay. We haven't had two awards before, but I campaign for them every year, and I guess I shall do so next year. *shrugs*
