I bought L4D because I liked Left 4 Dead in it's non-DLC-added state :\

But a lot of people seem to want to freeload off VALVe.

Well, it's understandable that people are annoyed if Valve promised updates that they're not gonna deliver. However, IF they don't intend on abandoning the old game and are gonna add those updates that they promised then there's no reason to complain. Has Valve made any comments on that?

I've read on Kotaku that they're planning to add some level of inter-connectivity between the two games so that the online community for either one is not severely debilitated by the other. If it ends up like what happened with Rock Band (where you could play all the songs from the first game on the second game) then I think people will be more than happy.

Also, I'm moving this to The Game Room, since it's evolved past funny videos to actual discussion of the game.
