I guess the closest thing that I have to a rival is pretty much everyone on VUS. Basically in VUS all the participants make fun of each other and their comics/characters and whatnot. It's fairly friendly though, as rivalries go. I'm going to get those jerks!
No rivals!!! Although I do have a few people on Drunk Duck that I look up to and someday want to become! There are so many people that fit under this category though, it would take so long to list them all...
there, that should get some shit started. BRING IT SUCKERS
"Kung Fu Komix IS...hardcore martial art action all the way. 8/10" -Harkovast
"Kung Fu Komix is that rare comic that is made with heart and love of the medium, and it delivers" -Zenstrive
"Kung Fu Komix is...so awesome" -threeeyeswurm
"Kung Fu Komix is..told with all the stupid exuberance of the genre it parodies" -The Real Macabre
When i first started out i felt a bit of antagonism coming from some other yuri artists, but i never really felt a rivalry to them (though one got pretty vocal when i got featured and she hadn't which was funny)
I still don't think it's the friendliest genre as far as peers go :0
I use comparisons to others as a way to belittle my own efforts, so I have lots of perceived rivals, but no real ones.
However, there are those prejudiced against photocomics, especially some fixated on the using of action figures. So I guess I'm in rivalry against that prejudice and the ignorance behind it.

I don't think I've amassed enough presence on here to acquire a rival. That sounds like a good thing to have though. A rival can push you into becoming better.
Then again, these sorts of things kind of happen organically. You can't really post an ad on Craigslist looking for an artistic rival.
Not exactly a rival (our comics are in different genres with very different art styles!) but there have been several periods where JustNoPoint's The Devon Legacy Prologue and my comic Shades have had spookily similar things taking place at roughly the same time ...
The rivalry is on the basis of who can get the next "similar event" to happen first!
(Peeking at each other's script in strictly against the rules!) ;-)
A Ronin writer, a masterless samurai of the written word... Updating: Main comic: Mondays & Thursdays. Now in glorious Ink Wash and Water Soluble Pencil! Reva's note: This is not created digitally, it's all hand drawn and inked.
Meh, I don't think I have a rival, neither do I think I'm worthy of one or want one. I just do my comic to tell a story I've been meaning to, improve my art, and have fun.
Let's see.. Maybe traume von magpie? We've joked about having a comic death match or something to that effect before. I'm totally blown away by that one. Wish i had that kind of game!
Me and Harkovast are both hell-bent on webcomic supremacy, so I'm gonna go with him too, even though our comics are utterly different. Let's start a rivalry! Any other takers are welcome, too.

Oh my, well, here's my white flag. XD I can't compete with your mad skillz.
What? Nooooo... T_T
Actually you've got great skills AND you update.
That's already a step above me
But I respect your non-combative stance! I can't compete with anyone anyway because of my lack of up datedness...

Ok then! You're my rival too! Prepare to be crushed! >___<
Bravo1102, that's it! You just made yourself a rival! I'll defeat you and your barbies!
You pounded me into the ground a while ago. My dolls surrender to your furries. (the male dolls resent being called Barbies. They are properly called Battle Barbies)
