My brother and I are buying a PS3 (a used one of course) and have no idea what games to buy, because we haven't purchased a Sony game in 2 years. So, do any of you PS3 owners have some games worth playing, it can be any kind of price range, but the rating has to be E-Teen.

Ratchett & Clank is a solid investment. I'm also very fond of Little Big Planet, and Street Fighter IV is worth it if you like fighting games. It's got a pretty steep learning curve if you're not into that thing in the first place, though...
grid lasted for a few weeks. same with killzone 2, but that's rated M.
beat the story, played mutliplayer, unlocked all the classes and got a honor rank online.
i didn't like sc4 as much. i played for a week and it was like, okay i'm done.
I don't have little big planet but i've played with friends and it's fun. i'd say it's a must get, kinda, but i haven't gotten it.
and then there are the arcade games that you can get through the psn store.
out of those, i'd recommend rag doll kung fu: fists of plastic, burn zombie burn, and maybe if you have the money, burnout paradise: ultimate box.
I got burnout paradise itself and then the expansion dlc later.
I play those 3 games often.
and then my ps3 has been mostly used for rock band 2. but then that's not everybody's thing.
if like rhythm games, i'd say is a must get. and all dlc or backwards-forward compatible, and songs on the disc are exportable.
although that has been unheard of for the beetles game and lego rock band (although it is highly likely lrb will be exportable to rb2).
Folklore is pretty fun. It's currently the only PS3 game I own with motion sensing controls, and it implements rather well. The story is interesting and the gameplay is solid. I heartily recommend it!
Resistance: Fall Of Man
LittleBigPlanet
Grid was fun
Bioshock, GTA4 and Fallout 3, if we aren't counting console-exclusives
Drake's Uncharted
The Orange Box. EVERYTHING on it is awesome, you cannot say Valve isn't one of the best game developers ever >:c
People seem to think you can't be called The Cap'm, unless you drive a boat. Well, I don't. I don't.

I'm surprised nobody mentioned Valkyria Chronicles. I also kind of like Eternal Sonata, despite all the hate out there the system is pretty solid and the story isn't all that bad. Disgaea 3 is also pretty good and Cross Edge comes out in May if you like the NIS games.
Some other DLC games worth picking up might be Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo HD Remix, Bionic Commando Rearmed, Super Stardust HD, and Crash Commando (if you like playing online). Not sure what the ratings are on some of these, though.
Metal Gear Solid 4, valkyria chronicles, Batman: Arkham Asylum (when it comes out, has tons of bonus content the 360 version will not have), also Mirror's Edge runs much smoother on the hardware than the 360's.
In terms of exclusives there isnt a whole lot, although I've been buying third party titles for it over the 360 due to the better processing power, and the fact that I dont have to send it to service every two months.

I usually ignore the rating anyway. People are just like to be negative.

As far as exclusives go, Ratchet and Clank is great, LBP didn't really capture my interest, but it seems to have appealed to the rest of the masses. If you're into strategy, Valkyria Chronicles is, by far, the most strategic game I've ever played.
Guitar Hero and Rock band are must haves, and you can play online for free with the PS3.

Not on hiatus, just not updating every other day right now.
I hadn't had a PC for about a year, so the PS3 was all I had. It was awesome enough for me, though I haven't had any experience playing any Valve game on a PC yet. Excuse what is prolly going to be an extremely stupid question, but is there such a big difference between the PS3 version and others?

Out of the box there isn't much difference between the two besides some dismissible bugs and some frame rate issues on the PS3 version compared to PC. The big difference comes with support... Valve clearly favors the PC as their development platform and has continually updated the contents of the Orange Box on PC. Us PC Team Fortress 2 players are enjoying bug fixes, new maps, new gameplay modes and unlockable weapons. The 360 and PS3 versions of TF2 have received no updates and contain what some people believe to be game-breaking bugs.
Metal Gear Solid 4 and Little Big Planet. Exclusives worth getting in my experience. A friend of mine loved MGS4 but after completing that hes yet to touch his PS3 again. He often complains about the online features and the console as a whole. But as I said, it does have it's meritable exclusives.
By the way Lefarce if you happen to read this get online once in a while or stop hiding offline, whichever applies, you dope.
I think Mishi was referring to the content rating (as in, Walrus specifically requested E-Teen games, while MGS4 is rated M).
Oh! My bad I didnt read that part. My fault for mostly skimming through threads, sorry Mishi.
And I agree about reviews, but for a largely different reason. When you review you're supposed to look for the negatives and positives, so it's bound to come off as overly negative or overly positive. I cant stand the ass-kiss reviews any more than the overly negative ones.
It's that a lot of critics get paid off for their opinion that gets me. There was that whole mess a while back with that co-op mob game (cant remember the name) where that guy got fired. Never really put too much trust in reviews again.
