Hellos fellow DDers. I am having a bit of trouble with the code for my site. There are a couple of things that are really driving me nuts. But I can't figure them out. If any one has any suggestions, I would be MOST appreciative! Thanks!

I took out any tracking number etc sections such as project wonderful for security purposes for posting here, but I left comments showing where they were.

I have two main problems. The biggest one being that the DD Navigation Bar at the top of the page is all messed up somehow. I'm not sure how this happened, but I can't fix it.

Secondly (and this is mostly aesthetic) the white comment section doesn't work right. The entire section is supposed to line up with the gif's which cap it at top and bottom, and it is supposed to be white all the way to the bottom (with the two columns of stuff in there). Yet, it pokes out on the right where the "h4" is and depending on the browser the white area does not always go all the way to the bottom in the right column.

Again, any help would be awesome THANKS!

None of us have control over the DD Navigation, so I don't know what happened there. As for all of the alignment issues in the comment section, you should probably have the divs in that section contained within a table to maintain equal height. Divs only go as long as their content or height specification.

how do you mean?

by using <table> <tr></tr> </table> notation somehow with pixel widths?

It's more using a table instead of two divs for the columns.

Thanks! I've got that figured out. It all looks flush now!

The DD bar is still odd, but I don't have the remotest clue on why... :D

Should I post the Navigation Bar problem in "extermination Station" then? or is it a problem that is so far from the norm that it has no hope of being fixed?

I haven't responded because I really have no idea what it could be :/ The only thing I could think of is an imporperly closed tag or something, but at a casual look I can't see anything like that. The only other thing I could think of is that since the navbar is automatically inserted, if you are somehow duplicating the navbar code (such as if you c/p the code from view source and picked it up) then it would display twice... but I dont' see anything in the code indicating that either.

Thanks skoolmunkee, I appreciate you looking over it. It is such an odd thing to occur that I think the solution is probably going to be so hard, that it would be easier to just rewrite the entire site :D

Ah, well. I appreciate the attempt. I'm stumped, I've stumped my friend who is a full time programmer and web developer, and I've stumped the admin :D I'll survive

Thanks again

I tried putting the code into dreamweaver just to see if it would spit out anything obvious (both the code you gave here and the view source I got off the actual html) and they are both rendering as they should. I'm really not sure what could be going on. I noticed in the view source that the sections in the black part are actually individual table cells, so if somehow the browser thinks those cells aren't wide enough to display all the buttons/images inside them, it would stack them like it's doing - or if it thought there were line breaks in the code. I don't think that would explain why it looks fine in dreamweaver but looks funny in the browser, though.

The only other thing I could suggest is that something in your custom coding has interfered with something dd-end code is trying to do. You could try removing your custom CSS section just to see if that allows the toolbar to render properly- if so you might have a width restriction in there or something that is trying to override... I'm not seeing anything that COULD interfere, but it's something to check :/

I wanted to thank you Skoolmunkee! You have really gone above and beyond the call f duty here. I know it didn't get fixed, but I really appreciate the care and service rendered. I know you admins have a lot on your plates, so the fact that you took time out of your day to run my code through dreamweaver is awesome.

Thanks for the suggestions, I'll give them a shot.
