For a fair while I searched out music videos I really enjoyed, because the melding of music and visuals can be so powerful. What I have here is a (fairly incomplete) list of music videos that I really like for some reason or another - they stand out from the rest for some reason.

Note, I do not necessarily like the songs - some I really, really do not like at all, but the video kind of makes it for me. There are a number of songs I love, but the music video is incomprehensible crap or merely bland, like this.

Anyways, here is my list, I would like to hear what others think, or to know of any others that should be on the list (remember - good videos - not necessarily songs you like):

Armand Van Helden - Hear My Name (nsfw)
This song is crap - it was used to advertise some teeny-bopper music station over here - but the song shall now be known to me as 'the spanking song'.
Bjork - All is full of love (kinda nsfw)
I REALLY do not like Bjork's music. Her lyrics never seem to mesh with the music and when they do it still makes me want to fall asleep. She does fine music vids tho.
Boogie Pimps - Somebody To Love
Cute and funny - what more could you ask for?
Chemical Brothers - Believe
My doctor friend says this is a clip about someone having a schitzophrenic(sp?) episode. I dunno, it is cool, but.
Fatboy Slim - Right Here, Right Now
A true classic looking at the history of life on earth, and the peak of all that evolution.
Fatboy Slim - The Joker
It has kitties.
Fatboy Slim - Weapon Of Choice
Christopher Walken rules.
Gorillaz - 19/2000
I love the Gorrilaz, and this one I think is one of their best clips.
Gorillaz - Clint Eastwood
First Gorillaz clip I saw - sold me on them.
Gorillaz - Rock The House
This. Makes. No. Sense. Funny, but odd.
Music Video - Bowling For Soup - 1985
I am an 80's child, so I like this clip.
OK GO - Here It Goes Again
You should have all seen this internet sensation before, but here it is again. Just shows that the clip doesn't need to be expensive or complicated to be cool.
Weezer - Keep Fishin'
Muppets. Nuff said.
Astropolitan - So To Speak (nsfw)
Futuristic Sex shop. Great CGI.
Chemical Brothers - Salmon Dance
That kid is SO on something.
Gnarls Barkley - Gone Daddy Gone
The tragic tale of a bug who falls for a human woman.
Jurassic 5 - Work it Out
Bush runs down the street flanked by his minions.

I draw stuff.

Wouldn't this be better in the media section? oh well.

May favourites are:

The Ghost of Stephen Foster.

Hycanithe.

Mr. Food.

I can't listen to these songs without the videos, especially the third one. It just isn't as satisfying.

Hey buddy, you should be a Russian Cosmonaut, and here's why.

I'm not going to link them because I don't have time, but here's my short list:

Any video by The Offspring. Especially, Can't Repeat, Pretty Fly for a White Guy, You're Gonna Go Far Kid and Hit That. They just make good videos period.

Mustard Plug's Mr. Smiley. Ska energy and a guy with a smiley face head, what's not to like?

Alien Ant Farm's Smooth Criminal and Sticks and Stones.

Blink 182's What's my Age Again?. I find it hilarious personally.

-Any video by Marilyn Manson. Yeah, I went there.
-Faith No More's "Epic".
-Tool's "Sober".
-NIN's "Closer".
-Nick Cave & P.J. Harvey's "Henry Lee".

Am I dating myself? I don't think I've seen a music video in its entirety since the mid-90's. :P

When it comes to Fatboy Slim, there ain't nuthin' better than "Weapon of Choice." ...I mean, come on. It's Christopher Walken.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sMZwZiU0kKs

...And I always loved Bjork's unique videos. Especially "I Miss You", animated by John Kricfalusi and his cohorts at Spumco. ...I couldn't find it on YouTube, but you can download a lot of her videos here.

Knights of Cydonia.

I can't provide a link here at work as they've blocked youtube and I think the video I had was deleted anyways. If you ever do see it, you'll know though.

A webcomic where a guy wants to quit his job selling video games and gets shot at for trying.

In my day, video games gave you three chances to kill about 2000 enemies in one sitting with no pause button. Easy mode meant you got two more lives to throw away on the first boss. You don't know the meaning of hard.

I'm not a big kanye west fan, I don't mind the guy but I don't really seek him out either. Songs pretty EH but the video I love specially the animation style, I assume its drawn ontop of prerecorded footage but still looks great

I wanted to post in this thread but for some reason I couldn't come up with anything strong enough to throw it in here... Well, just found this few days ago. Works perfectly with music, doesn't it? :D
