Just reached episode six of my new webcomic, hosted here on DrunkDunk, and wondered if anyone out there would like to take a look and let me know what they think. I have script ideas up till June and plot for a while thereafter and wondered if it's worth my while continuing.

Hey, if it's worth starting, it's worth finishing, I say. I like that it's drawn in your own style- that's a big plus for me. I'm also diggin' how you're overlapping your panel edges. I think they first strip might be my favorite- with the Napoleonic battlefield crow. Heh.

One thing I'd suggest is more contrast in your panels. It's not hard to tell what's going on or anything, but at the same time, nothing pops out. Adding more dark/black areas and a couple tones would help, or even just a bit of crosshatching. Especially in the backgrounds- they seem a bit rushed. Just darkening areas could go a long way to helping those figures pop out. Varying your line width a bit more might serve the same purpose.

Cheater XD
When you said "sixth episode" I didn't think there would be six strips, I thought it would be longer :D
Then again you're absolutely entitled to choose how long an episode should be, so never mind me and my preconceptions.

Like Hyena said, I'm also in the "contrast please!" bandwagon.
Screentoning, crosshatching, you name it.
Without contrast, pages might seem kind of dull.

My favourite strip is the "mind over matter" strip, the third one.

Thank you both for your comments, and your good points raised. Just because I have little time to work on this doesn't mean I should accept second best. More thought and time spent will address these problems. I had already started work on the next two episodes (sorry to call them that <g> so will look at more tonal work for episodes nine onwards.

Had a look at both your comics and have to tell you both I was impressed.

Thank you again
